I still love Robbie!
I have re-read this over the last two days, with the thought in mind that once finished, I would donate it to the charity shop, except now I'm keeping it!! My Mum bought it for me, ten years ago, when I had a massive Robbie crush, and had done probably for the previous ten years. Reading again, I initially felt irritated by his "poor me" approach to life, but throughout the book, he recovers (on this occasion) from his addictions and you can hear the joy come back into his life! I hope he's happy now...

Somebody Someday
I read this book in less that 24 hours,I could not put it down and when I did put it down I was in a hurry to stick my nose back in to the pages to see what was happening next on the tour that it was set around! I felt like I was on tour with Robbie and all his crew when they laughed I laughed and When Robbie cried I cried. It was very well writtern and I really enjoyed the book. I would tell any Robbie fan to read this one as it feels like you are there on tour with him and the crew (well thats how I felt anyway)When I finished the book I had to go back to the start and read it again I have had this book for 10 days (bought it on the 13th February 2004)and I have read it 4 times already!I just love the book and just pick it up and open to a page and just read away I feel like I am catching up with them all again! There are some great pictures of Robbie in there as well which is good.I recommend that you give this book ago as it is worth the read!!

A unique approach to "autobiographical" writing
I was really excited about getting this book! When I received it, I had a good look through at the many pictures and quotes, some made me smile and some were more poignant, and so settled down to read this book. The first thing that you notice about this, is that it isn't a typical autobiography as I had originally thought. The book is actually written by someone else, who is alongside Robbie and so therefore able to see Robbie's life from his point of view - and he puts it on paper. At first I wasn't sure how I felt about this, as I started reading I had the impression that this was going to be a glorified magazine article where the writer has spent a few hours with the celebrity and bulks it out into "A day in the life of...." but read on. You soon begin to realise, that it appears Robbie has been very open and frank and through the writing you begin to build up a picture of a very private man, struggling with his own demons, who like many other star's have found loneliness in fame. The author has followed Robbie around, on tour, and this provides the framework for the book, but it does include Robbie's opinions on other periods of his life and also that "Robbie Williams" isn't just made up of one person, but a whole team that function together to entertain you, the audience, and he gives them the credit for it in this book. The book was written from when he gave up drink and drugs and the support he received form his band (although they got up to plenty!) It show's him trying to overcome his addictions and become the person that he wants to be.. one that "he would be happy for his daughter to go out with". I liked this book because it appeared to be honest and frank, and because you almost felt that Robbie was too fragile to have written this himself. However it does make the reader feel that he's let you "in" to his private world for a brief spell. Oh and it's true....in the book it says that the fan club receive letters from people (mainly women) who just want to reach out to him, heal him, even small children, after reading this you just want to say " Let me make it all better"! Good luck in all he wants to do and thankyou for having the originality to do what felt right for him, not the normal autobiography.Well worth reading.

enlightening
whilst reading this book, i was amazed about the different `side` or Robbie that is portrayed to the world. ironically the singer seems to be more unhappy than happy and i get the general feeling of lack of faith in his own abilities. it seems that even the adoration of all these people would not seem to convince robbie that he in fact a huge star. i went to see him in Milton Keynes in June 2001 and had the best time that i have ever had at a pop concert, im no spring chicken either, so what really suprised me is the depth at which he `gives` to his audience. He seems really concerned that they are having a good time...which they all do. finally i would like to say that this book is written well and rather like a journal of events following the tour. The author has a view on things that the average `fan` would not have and this follows the whole crew (as well as Robbie) throughout. It feels like an account, like capitains log!! I have enjoyed the book, and am now inspired to look at my own life through the eyes of other people, and see if what you see and what you get are the same!

Also unbeding BESTELLEN!!!
