How long should these take to charge out of the box? Mines has been plugged for 15 hr and the red light is still on. Thanks

I purchased 3 batteries w/3 chargers in Dec 2019. I have used only one battery/charger. I have mine on the charger daily when I anticipate its use in my RC boat. The first charge took about 4-6 hours as I remember. After the first charge it took about 1-2 hours to fully charge. Since purchase i am still on the first battery/charger. I use the RC boat for about 10-15 min before the low bat signal comes on giving enough time to retrieve the RC boat. I keep the battery on the charger from morning to night so it is ready at a moments use. I estimate the number of days on charge to be 100 to 150 days for 6-10 hr/da. I am still on the first battery & charger. I reccomend this product for RC Boats.

Can this be used as a replacement for an 800 mAh 7.2 volt?

Yes, it worked well in my RC boat and I got almost 30 mins of run time.
