LSI 9211-8i SAS HBA controller cards. Flashed to Avago / LSI 9211-8i IT (Initiator Target) firmware version P20 (specifically 20.00.07.00).Comes with ventilated standard full height profile bracket. Firmware and bios flashed, and fully tested with all 8 SAS lanes. LSI 9211-8i IT (Initiator Target) firmware version P20 (specifically 20.00.07.00), MPTSAS2 BIOS ROM version 07.39.02.00 Review: Plug and Play, replaced old/dying/questionable SAS HBA without error - I run a Proxmox hypervisor and this card is attached to 8 drives for storage on my network. The card it replaced I got for $30 on eBay. I can tell by looking at this, it is a genuine LSI part. My hypervisor uses ZFS to manage storage volumes/arrays, and the old card gave AER errors that would flood my syslog and when I connected this card, all the errors went away. Like magic, this just works. I wish I bought this in the first place. This was entirely worth the $80 paid to enable SAS on my server without errors. --------------------- If any of you are still reading, and might be curious... I have 3x HGST 4TB drives in a ZFS stack (RAID 5) for an effective 8TB storage with 1 failure. I have 3x Seagate 12TB drives in a ZFS stack (RAID 5) for an effective 24TB storage with 1 failure. All refurbished drives because I'm pretty budget conscious. Review: Works with TrueNAS - Tried a couple different SAS cards and had a lot of problems. This one works like a champ. Appears to be pre-flashed in "IT Mode" if you're trying to use this in conjunction with a SAN and a bunch of JBOD drives. I slapped this card in a 2004'ish Dell server running TrueNAS and it picked it right up. It's been faithfully running my storage array for months, without a single reboot.

Plug and play for my application
I used this to add more hard drive controllers to my motherboard. I have a Plex media server setup and needed to go to 4 hard drives. I found that one of the ports on my mother board did not work. Bought this expander and moved the drives to it and it fired right up. I have 4, 14Tb HDs in my system currently but the system has space for 8. I doubt I will ever get there but this card should cover what I need. I consieer this a good purchase.

Card as advertised, works perfect.
I used this card in unRAID to add support for 8 HDDs in IT Mode. Did not have to change anything or do any setup. Card recognized first boot, unRAID found the four drives I have and everything worked ! Card comes flashed to IT mode so itโs perfect for adding 8 more hard drives to whatever you are running... Often you hear about fake LSI cards, the one I received says LSI in all the right places so it looks 100% real to me !

Extremely AWESOME.
This LSI 9211-8i P20 IT Mode for ZFS TrueNAS was a Plug and Play. Recognized all 8 seagate wolf 6TB drives. The only thing I had to do was to reset the boot order for my TrueNAS to boot. I highly recommend this controller. Flashed for IT mode which is what I wanted. Saved me tons of time . Super Happy right now.
