Great textbook for Spanish practice

The book is through and easy to follow. It has very good short explanations and good to the point exercises. I would recommend it to and intermediate level student as an excellent guide through grammar. Perhaps the size of the book makes the exercises a little difficult to complete since the spaces are small, but I always recommend not to write in the book, just use a notebook for the answers.

Good text for higher intermediate with the instruction in English but the directions for the exercises in Spanish. Answers in back so you can correct your mistakes right away. The smaller page size is my only complaint. Not enough room to easily write the answers to the exercises in the book.

I've done a LOT of Spanish workbooks over the years. This is one of the best. Interesting exercises and lots of opportunities to practice. It is more of a fill-in-the-blanks book, than a translate-from-English-to-Spanish book. My only complaint: the space for writing answers is too small. I just write them beside the sentence instead of in the blanks.

I am currently taking Spanish classes and my teacher is from the old . She had me order this book. A great mix of Spanish very English, not for beginners

I've been using this book, as well as its sister, the Spanish verb Review, with my advanced students since the first edition. Excellent review, concise explanations, and just the right amount of exercises to drum it in.

Book arrived on time and in excellent condition; however, the content gets very advanced very quickly and could use more examples and practice exercises.

Another excellent McGraw Hill publication. Love the Listening and Speaking user friendly downloadable App. I use the App with my other 2 McGraw Hill Spanish learning books just about everyday. Just one thing - it would be nice to have Spanish speakers rather than Latin American ones in the listening part. Otherwise I see that the main core of the book is Spanish from Spain. A thank you x 2 to the authors Gordon & Stillman plus again to McGraw Hill.

This is the best book out there for Spanish grammar that takes you from beginner to advanced. I had the original version from about 22 years ago and it was a great help with my studies. I purchased this edition as a lot of the text had been updated (there's a great deal of information about Spain, it's cities, literature, etc.) and I wanted to have the accompanying audio tracks on the McGraw-Hill Language website. There is also a French and Italian updated version that are excellent in their own right.

Very very detailed. Understandable for all levels really, but going through the exercises takes time but is worth it if you truly want to understand how the language works and feel confident about it.

Used the book for self study and suplement to Duolingo. Good grammatical explanations.

Very thorough book with a huge amount of exercises. Extra material on the app too. Only negative is the explanations of concepts aren’t quite as clear as some other books I’ve done. But if you already have a base knowledge of Spanish that won’t be a problem (and it does say it’s for advanced beginner-advanced).
