A very unique specific tool, perfect for what it is designed for

The pliers just arrived and appear very solid and larger than expected. On paper, the range of opening is wider than the other red type that amazon sells. The build quality seems nice, definitely more than adequate for occasional DYI use. Definitely worth the price.

I bought this tool to remove the 2 tub spring clamps on my LG front loading washer. It worked fine for the front spring but there was no way it was going to work with the interior spring without some serious modifications. The interior spring is wider and uses a hook end to close the spring clamp. This tool will not open or close enough for this use. I had to cut and grind the inner portions of the tool to give it greater distance of travel for both removing the spring and putting it back on. Make your life easier and temporarily wire the inner spring in place, around the tub so you do not have to worry about it falling out of the groove it is supposed to reside in. Then you can just struggle with getting the spring clamp closed!

Great tool and well made. Well worth the money even if you use it one time. I had to replace a pump on my front load washer and this was a time saver and made it much easier to remove and reinstall the boot.

Works good

it’s a maximum capacity of stretching the spring was not wide enough to be of any assistance when trying to get that frustrating front load washer gaskets ring back on. According to the description and the multiple positive reviews it led me to believe that it was a universal tool. It is to some extent; it can be used universally To spread a spring but it may not have the ability to spread it far enough in every case. I think The tool most likely performs as described , But I certainly don’t think it’s worthy of its high price tag. I would do a little math before purchasing to make sure it can spread adequately to help as it should.

This Spring Expansion Tool is a must-have for the inner and outer springs. It makes the job so much easier and you won't puncture the rubber gasket trying to get them off with a screwdriver. WELL WORTH the cost and made replacing the gaskets a breeze.

Give the seller a chance but be aware- The tips of this particular tool are thicker than expected. I am particular with my purchases and the rust for me was alarming but when it came down to using it we unfortunately weren’t successful with the tool due to it not fitting in pen spring or replacement.
