Aventis Adjustable Foam Server Packaging for Safely Shipping 1U and 2U Servers

These boxes are very sturdy and great for shipping standard rack mount 1U-2U servers. Heavy duty cardboard for the box, dense sturdy foam for the inside. If you want a server shipped with much protection, this is the box for you. My entire team used several of these boxes to ship servers for a project we were working on. No issues or damages to the servers while shipping.

Waste of money. The foam works fine but your box is completely wrong for shipping a server safely. It is the wrong size and not strong enough for a 2U server weighing 75lbs. The biggest issue is the size of box being too tall so the foam doesnt fit snugly when the lid is closed. There is 4"+ of free space which would allow the server to flop around inside the box. Not ideal. $85+ for this is way way too much. $20 I'll make it work but not at this price.

The GOOD. The product itself is decent. Foam inserts are very nice with versatile options for different size servers. The boxes are mediocre. They are rated for up 100 lbs (but don't expect it to withstand mutilation by a careless shipper). They are basically single use if you're shipping a 2RU server over 50 pounds. If they upped the quality of the box and charged $10 more it could be a 5 star product but... The BAD. I placed 3 orders. Part of one shipment was never delivered - 3 of 7 boxes. And one of the 4 I got had a ripped corner. The item in my account was marked as "may be lost" and "We're very sorry your delivery is so late. Although it may still arrive, you can request a refund now." The UGLLLLY. The sellers stated policy is 30 days to request a refund. After continuing to wait - because it said it "may still arrive", I requested a refund. But the seller refused to refund the non delivered boxes (and the ripped one, because I made the request 34 days after the order was placed. But if it's still marked as "it may still arrive" a reasonable, reputable seller would honor the refund request. I don't get the disconnect. Now if it doesn't arrive, I'm out $400? I sent a follow up email but was ghosted. Decent product, horrible customer service. Buyer beware.

This was a great option for those of us that don't want to waste the space, and potential fire hazard of saving a big box for a piece of equipment that may never need to be shipped again. This box/packing material is as good as, if not better than the original. I would highly recommend this company for your equipment that needs to be packed appropriately so it survives the journey to its next location.

Is $100 too much money for an empty box? Apparently not if you work in IT and have to ship a rack server and the box hit the dumpster years ago. Comes with foam ends with adjustable blocks to fit 1U or 2U servers. BUT once you pull those 1U foam blocks out to fit a 2U.... it forever becomes a 2U box. As someone else mentioned in another review, if you order more than 1, be prepared for there to be a box inside of a box. At first I was ticked as I ordered 2 boxes but only 1 arrived. But I opened it up and there was #2.... I don't like the way the 2nd box was folded in half, and it might affect integrity / stability a bit for shipping. But I just went insane with the packing tape and made multiple loops all the way around the box so it wouldn't fly open. I did price shipping options at UPS store and they would have had to custom make boxes, and that would have been easily double the price of buying these. I will buy them again if I have to ship more servers, but only bc work is paying for it. If I was paying out of pocket, I would find some other solution.

Used these a few times for short depth 1u servers, filling in the empty space with cardboard. These are expensive, but you’re paying for the quality and fitted foam. Much more sturdy than some OEM server boxes that I’ve received and shipped that end up getting damaged. Recommend if you want the safety.

I've purchased these on three occasions. The first two times, the boxes all arrived intact and shipped individually. The third time, we received the cardboard outer folded up and inside another box. The cardboard is already thin and does not hold up well with shipping, but when they are folded, it affects the integrity of the box even further. We had an emergency and had to use these since it was all we had. I will find another alternative for the future though and will no longer be buying this product.

Foam inserts are very sturdy as well as the box. It felt solid and properly protected. The slats for the server rails are a nice touch. Would order again.
