This book details the genius of Brian Jones. It gives you great insight of his creativeness and the ability to play an incredible number of instruments. Sadly it goes into his personal lifestyle, which harmed his ability to create in the past. The Rolling Stones would never display the creativeness they had with Jones in command. Also it also goes over the enthusiasm he had to set up a new band, create a soundtrack for a movie, and his desire to produce. The last great rock star.

    This book is satisfactory , no more than that.It deals with other decadents from way long ago most frequently Oscar Wilde.Reading about Brian Jones was the purpose of my purchase.I really didn't want to read about Oscar Wilde and the comparisons between the two.If you are interested in reading about decadents of long, long ago and Brian Jones as well, then this thin book is ideal for you.If you are only interested in reading about Brian Jones, pass on this book.

What a fantastic read! Absolutely diverting from the first page.  Very eloquently written, it is a great tribute to Brian and has given me an excellent insight into his tortured existence.
