I purchased this to make a cat bed for my arthritic cat. He no longer feels safe jumping up on my bed and had difficulty jumping down because his back legs/hip area are athritic. My vet has prescribed meds for him, however, his bad experiences with jumping up on furniture means he prefers to sleep on the floor. I have other cats, and so I have a few cat beds. What I wanted was one that he could share with his buddy, who is about the same age. They cuddle up together now on the bed. Here's how I made the bed. I purchased the foam, then unwrapped it for a few days to "breathe" and then I folded it in half, made a pillowcasing out of an old sheet and a few seams later I had a slipcover for it. Then I wrapped a soft polyester throw over that. I am planning to shop for soft fake fur similar to their other cat beds, to make a pillowcasing. I don't like using zippers so I will sew on some large snaps (purchased on Amazon and used for lots of other things) so that I can easily take it off to wash.d I am very happy with the quality of the foam. The cats are about 13 lb each and while they snuggle onto the bed, they don't sink into it. Just the right amount of firmness. I can also sit comfortably on this bed. In the meantime, both cats are happily snuggled up on the cat bed. The bed fits nicely in the corner of our bedroom where we will not stumble over it. This was money well spent!

Our old sectional couch had a hide-a-bed on one side that, over the years, provided less and less support to the foam cushions over that part. No amount of blankets, towels or pillows under the cushions helped to support my plus size spouse. My AI helped me learn that I needed "FIRM" upholstery foam. Since I'm retired, I didn't feel I'd be able to buy new inserts for the battered cushion covers and get the covers over large pieces of foam, SO I chose this long piece of upholstery foam MADE IN THE USA and FIRM. I knew I'd need to cut the foam because the area I needed to replace was 60". this piece comes as 72". The package came quickly. I knew the vacuum-packed 24x5x72 piece of foam would EXPAND quickly when unpacked, and it did! But it's not exactly heavy, just awkward to wrangle around the room so I could remove the old couch cushions. I bought this long piece so there would be no break in the middle of the area where my spouse reclines all day. I knew the piece would need to be cut, so I drew a line on one end of the foam, 11 inches in, rather than 12 inches because if it was still too long I could trim it a bit more, but the extra inch turned out to be perfect!!! To cut the foam I used my electric kitchen knife (40 years old) and with slow, steady pressure, I was able to cut the foam in about 2 minutes. The long cushion is a perfect fit! It stands 5 inches tall. The 24" width tucked under the back cushion just like the original cushions, and fits flush with the front skirt of the couch area! I cover this area with fleece throws (for ease in laundering) so it looks perfectly normal! AND when my spouse sat and then reclined on his new area, his doubtful expression changed to surprise! Wow! The FIRM upholstery foam is supporting his weight. Now he'll be comfortable all through football season. And I got this wonderful piece of foam for an absolutely wonderful price. No need to buy a new sectional at our age!!! Thank you!

This foam was better than I expected. I definitely did not need 4” high with this high quality & dense foam. I used it for chair cushions & you can not feel the foundation board under it when sitting. This foam is a lot denser than other brands that I have seen in craft stores. It is exactly 4” high. Next time I will definitely order from this company but go with the 2” I used a serrated knife to cut it, it was a little difficult but got it done

The foam came in a small package but puffed up within a couple minutes. I used it under a chair cover because one seat on my sectional was breaking down. It’s very comfortable and worked perfectly.

I bought this, opened it up, and quickly sent it back. Not for the fault of the product, but because I ordered the wrong size. I have another one on its way in the correct size. This product is exactly what I expected, other than the sizing, which was my fault. “Measure twice, select once, double check the order before submit.” This comes in a small box very compressed. I was not able to return it to its original packaging for returning. The box I used was 50% larger and I had t place it in a garbage bag and use a vacuum to shrink it down. Then close and tape it up before it expanded. It’s nice that the company offers the pad in different widths, lengths, and thicknesses. You can also order it in two different levels of firmness. I ordered the first in semi firm, but I ordered the wider version in firm. Because I’m adding this to my mattress, I ordered the 2 inch. Most people would do fine on a 1 inch. If I were using this as a pad to sleep on the floor, I would recommend at least a three inch. So much of this is a personal preference. Two things that this is not, which was great for me. This is not memory foam. It is a slab of solid upholstery foam. It also is not egg crate in shape. Egg crate mattress pads, and memory foam is easy to find. It’s hard to find this at an affordable price, but his seems to be the most economical way to purchase.

Very happy with this product, used for refinished wooden futon, firm and keeps its form.

I used this to make new RV seat cushions. The foam cuts super clean and easy if you use an electric knife. No mess and straight edges. The foam feels comfy yet firm to sit on and holds is shape really well. Great product!
