DLX Necklace Fan DSP

A LIFESAVER when I was at Disneyland during the summer. I think I would've passed out from heatstroke if I hadn't had this dorky little fan around my neck the whole day! It's lightweight, not too bulky, and it helps IMMENSELY. I started noticing a lot of other park goers wearing these in various colors, and I highly recommend anyone sensitive to heat grab one of these for hot days. The fan is obviously not super powerful, but it provides a nice stream of air directly up into your face (and the batteries lasted all day with constant usage). I did bring extras just in case, but I never needed to change them. I think there is a good chance I would've passed out from heat stroke without having this fan with me, as I'm EXTREMELY sensitive to heat and I was also pretty dehydrated.Another thing to mention is that, while it does make noise, it's very quiet. Barely audible, really, and certainly not loud enough to be disturbing to anyone around you. I think you could even get away with using this in a movie theater (although I can't see why you'd need to).

An idea that works! While few people will think this is a necklace (most assume you have a medical device hanging around your neck, which allows you to be first on the bus), the fact that it's very lightweight, your hands are free, it hangs just far enough away from your face (incredibly, this is true of both male and female) and it's quiet adds up to a 5 star appreciation. It blows just enough of a breeze onto your neck to keep your whole body cooler, whether you're in a packed auditorium or walking Arizona in August. Bought a couple of a different brand for our family vacation, but it doesn't seem they will last as long (one arrived broken). I have also had the battery operated portable fans that I can carry in my bag for picnics and such (keeps the flies away), so I have more experience with O2Cool products. Hate that their prices have gone up, but that's probably because of reviews like this!

Bought the same model from a local retailer with low expectations given previous attempts to find SOMETHING that would adequately cool me on the train commute each day during the summer without (previous experience) of bulk and replacing batteries every other day. This is the first model I'd found that actually hangs around the neck and blows upward toward the face (not completely silent, but quiet; cannot hear with ambient noise). Very effective and happily surprised at efficiency and volume of air (I tend to get hot without air movement; use for about an hour and a half every day; 2 AA Akaline batts last 5 days before not pushing very much air). Does not have an overly expansive air pattern, but when positioned correctly cools neck, chin, face, sides of head and portion of the chest; very soothing, and if you tilt face downward slightly you can get full cooling of the head. My order from this vendor was to be a backup, and while I received essentially the same product, was a different color scheme than ordered (not a fan - no pun intended - of purple; no notification that I was not receiving standard black) and a slightly different design (let's call it v1.2), although housing styling and exit louvers appear to be all that has changed; functionally the same.

Would definitely recommend this fan. We picked the photo with 4 fans, it was a little misleading because I thought it would be 4 fans but only got one. But other than that the fan works great. It's not very strong but it works well. The reason I gave it five stars is because during the hurricane the just hit Florida, our electricity was out and it was very hot at night so I sat the fan on my stomach aiming toward my face and it stayed on all night and definitely kept me cool. The batteries last a while in this fan because we put the same new batteries in a different fan and they died in the middle of the night. Great to also use to walk around with it hanging around your neck.

Fan works as expected but I have trouble with it flipping over when I'm wearing it while moving around. Also, it hangs too low and the cord is not adjustable, so I have tied a knot to shorten it (on each side so it won't interfere with the breakaway safety clasp.But, it is the best option I've found so far (hear sensitivity related to MS).

Multiple purshaser. Great, blow near your face without holding it to your face. Noise level is great especially since it can be below conversation level. Battery level isn’t bad, but they are never great in ANY of these fans. My 70 year old aunt, who is about to hit 100 countries, and me in my late 30’s love it on a lot of occasions. Color is what comes, can not be ordered. I got a box of 6 of hot pink on my second order, but luckily that was fine by me and my aunt.

We bought 4 of these fans before our trip to the Philippines and Japan for our family. This item came in really handy especially in the Philippines where the climate was hot and humid. The battery life was pretty long and on our 3 week vacation we only needed to change the battery on 2 of the fans one time. It kept us cool and comfortable when we were walking and shopping. We even were able to use it as a table fan when we were eating outdoors to keep us cool as we dined on local cuisine. Since being home from our vacation, this product has really been useful to me in my everyday life. I live in a very hot and humid climate in the South and this is so handy. I have used it at backyard BBQs, at bars/clubs, pretty much everywhere I can since I hate to sweat. Lol. Definitely would recommend this product! Really enjoy this product. I recommend it to any menopausal women out there. Looks a little funny when you have it around your neck when you're sitting in church or on the bus somewhere but it does cool you down. Batteries seem to last well with it

I love it! I use it to cool down after my workout at the gym. Can't wait to use it outdoors in the Summer. I'll have to keep an eye on it, I'm pretty sure someone will try and steal it, it's so cute.

Wish the fan had a couple different settings as it only has one. Also would be nice if it was a bit quieter for when you are at a meeting or that type of event.

its serves the purpose, but made in china so may not last all that long. Definite good value.

Like it so far but have not have had a hot enough day to submit a better review.
