I use the mucinex for grandchildren when they get colds. It taste like berries and it helps with keeping the mucus loose. Works great and cuts down on the cold duration.

This helped my daughter’s cold. 🥶 worked pretty fast. Esp, for toddlers .

As other reviewers before me have pointed out, this works well, does what it is supposed to do. It clears the mucus my little one has been having trouble with during a recent URI. The only downside is the taste. Little one cannot stop complaining it is yucky.

Good for young children, can rotate with other like meds that don’t overdose or conflict with other ingredients. Easy to administer.

My son just turned 4 & I can finally try some of these medications for older kids. I’m very sensitive to cold medication myself, so I was a little leery about getting this (the guaifenesin, specifically). His dose would be 5mL every 4 hours, so I started with 2.5mL. He did fine, so now I give him 4mL. It’s working! He’s had the most stubborn cold for over a week. Super congested with glue-like snot, and a bad barking cough. By the 3rd dose I was getting a ton of snot out with his snot sucker. His cough is breaking up and he seems to have his energy back. I just wish they’d get rid of red dye (red 40) in medications! It’s not necessary. We try to limit dyes because it affects his behavior, but I didn’t think to check this. Ugh. The flavor is actually pretty good. It tastes a little like watermelon-cherry or something (but has a very medicinal, bitter aftertaste). If you get it, start small to see how it affects your kiddo. 🙃
