Boynton's Greatest Hits The Big Blue Box (Boxed Set): Moo, Baa, La La La!; A to Z; Doggies; Blue Hat, Green Hat

As a pediatric speech therapist who works with toddlers, I love to use Sandra Boynton books in my therapy sessions. The simple but fun illustrations are perfect for keeping the attention and focus of even the busiest toddlers. Her use of couplets allows for fun reading that can often be sung. The use of repetitive phrases or words in many of her books supports memorization of the text and participation when reading the books. The use of action words encourages movement and acting out many stories. My 3 favorites for toddlers with speech and language delays are in this set: 1. "Moo, Baa LaLaLa!" is super short-- which is perfect for toddlers. The animal sounds are great for building imitations of sounds and words. It is so silly and fun that the kids want to hear it over and over. 2. "Doggies" has dogs, which most kids love. There are many great combinations of consonant and vowel sounds, and a lot of repetition for practice while reading. Boynton's usual good humor and simple illustrations are another great asset. 3. "Blue Hat, Green Hat" is such a fun book. With the repetition of the word "oops" and the silly turkey, I can read this book 4 or 5 times in one sitting. Bonus is that it works on colors and the names of common clothing items "A to Z" is another great read and a fun way to play around with alphabet sounds

These board books are a classic! My good friend's son had a baby, so I wanted to give her some fun books to read with the little one. You can't go wrong with this collection of Boyton's board books! The stories are relatable, fun, and funny! They are sure to enjoyable for families.

Sandra Boynton is my favorite children’s author. I give a box of Boynton books to every new mother I know. The books are fun to read and the illustrations are eye catching. The reader can use a lot of descriptive language as they investigate each page with the child as they read.

I have bought these for extra baby shower gifts a few times because my kids loved them so much when they were little. I can still hear my son’s 2 year old voice as he read, “Blue Hat, Green Hat” to me, laughing after every page, and he’s 27 now. I think a little silliness is the best way to start them off right with a love of reading.

My favorite baby gifts along with a different book were received without the gift message. They said they had several other gifts sent by amazon with same issue.

Kids favourite books in our household. Have been reading them since age 1 and now the oldest is 5 but still likes to read these before bed. Love them.

Sandra Boynton makes great books for children. My son has enjoyed her books from the age of 4mo to now at 16mo. We read atleast three a night and he is constantly bringing them to his mom and I to read to him.

Bought this set to read in my toddler classes and I always have to read ALL FOUR OF THEM! They roll on the floor laughing every time...
