(Satechi Tech Support) **Q: Will this work for the new m1 Mac mini?** A: This is a great add for my 2018, ie “2020” Mac mini but mine is not the M1. Based on my research I would think it could but double check the Thunderbolt connection. I recently bought an external HD that would not work on my 2018 model because the drive used a USB-C 3.1 and I guess mine are 3.0. I got it to work using the normal USB but that wasn’t my goal. You may experience the same here. You’re basically trading a Thunderbolt port to add 2 USB and media card slots.
