It is packaged nicely in a box which makes it very easily acessible. You can use it straight out of the box or split it up into containers like I did. That way you can have some in every room of the house. This is very workable for me as I use it on every part of the body. It's very good on all body parts including hair. It also does not clog your pores. It's extra good for a cuticle cream, foot moisturizer, diaper cream, eczema and dry skin reliever. Very light and whiped consistency. Just rub it in your hands and it turns into a silky cream that glides on great! It also has a very mild and pleasent smell. I like to add a bit of lavender oil and it makes it that much better. My husband prefers it plain which is nice as well as I said earlier, it has a great smell! One of my favorite uses is for my baby. Since it's totally pure and organic I feel totally comfortable using it as an all-over cream for her. Although this butter is so moisturizing it doesn't leave you too oily. A little bit goes a long way. The customer service is also wonderful! Very friendly and fast. They ship the product to you right away and it arrives in very neat and clean labeling and packaging. I was very impressed with this product and company. If you are considering ordering from here, don't think twice. They are a superior company with a superior product. This is my first time buying and using this product. I did research and read a lot of nasty smells can come from it if you purchase from the wrong place. The description was very vague, and the thought of the product being in a ziplock bag in a box especially had me concerned. I am happy to say, I was not disappointed at all! So, here are my first impressions... The product arrived very promptly- earlier than expected! The box is very sturdy with a printed sticker label. The shea is in its own loaf-type cardboard pan, which is sitting inside of a ziplock bag in the box. I read other reviews that stated the product they had purchased (from other sellers) did not have an expiration date on the packaging. This is concerning, because Unrefined Shea Butter does have a shelf life. (Mine has a good 10months!) The Shea Butter says "Organic", however, there is no certification to back this up. The product description says "Ivory", but it is more off-white ("Antique White"). The smell at first was NOT overwhelming. (I honestly couldn't decide if what I was smelling was the product, or the packaging.) I would describe the scent as Sculpey Polymer Clay smells- only, not as strong! I was easily able to dig my fingertip into the Shea Butter, and would describe the consistency and texture as a wet-crumble, but NOT gritty at all! Using the Shea Butter alone: It easily smoothed into my skin, and at first was slightly oily (less oily than the average body lotion). After a minute or so, absorbed into my skin leaving it soft with little to no odor or oily residue!
