Surprisingly solid and well made for the price. Feel is really good, clicky but not overly so (better than happ bat-top in both feel and noise for instance). Very similar to the name-brand stick this one copies, but of course a lot cheaper. I've not switched from 8-way (to 4-way) but the perspex gate looks exactly the same as the branded 'JLF' joystick so I would imagine the instructions to switch are the same. If you're mounting to a thick wood panel you'll need to do some woodwork as this is intended to be top mounted but that's not the fault of this stick.

It feels little bit soft but it works well for the price.

The joystick is fine. My only gripe with it is that it has to be wired with its own cable. Dupont connectors are too loose. I am convinced that anyone saying "only one button/direction works" has it wired in reverse. I made the exact same mistake and had only 1 button working, but reversing the connector made it work. The ground pin is the one closest to the edge of the board.
