I've been wanting to try them for the temporary tarp on my sailboat because tying and untying paracord gets tedious while working. They work pretty well with standard paracord. I managed to get them to work with a fabric strap, but it tends to slip behind the cam. Those cams come off too...and if you're not quick they will go in the water and not float. So minus one star because it didn't float when it didn't work for my unusual use-case scenario.
