Just like thriftys
This scoop was so easy to use. And easy to clean. Absolutely zero issues. Was able to get the last bit of a quart too. It formed it just like Thrifty scoops. Now I don't know if it was easy for me because I used to sling ice cream at Thriftys back in the day, but I had no problem in hard ice cream. Now here's a trick I do, as you are pushing it in, twist with your wrist. Also rinse between scoops.

Awsome for 1 month
I had this product and did not have any of the problems listed on other reviews. No matter what Kind of icecream soft, hard, Very cold, warm, the scooper always made a very nice awesome looking scoop for me. On the other hand my wife could never get it to work. I will assume then that one must have muscle behind it to work and push down with the correct amount of force. The real reason I hate this scooper is that it broke one month after having it. There is a little button on the top that you push down to release the ice cream which broke and made the whole scooper not work. I took it apart and it is a very tiny spring with a very little catch. The point being that the amount of force used to scoop icecream will deffinetly destroy either the catch or the spring or both. SO I would stay away from this product.

For a friend.
I saw this Ice Cream Scoop on my friends pinterest page on the board of random things that she would like to have, so I decided to get it for her as a "just-because" present. The concept is a good one...and since she is a avid ice-cream lover, I thought she would enjoy using this different kind of ice-cream scooper. The first thing that we noticed about it was that after washing it before using it, it was difficult to use before we figured out that the top part had fallen out...and it continues to fall out easily. Other than that, it was okay to use. I wouldn't buy it for myself or for anyone else...but it was a fun present to use for a moment.

Content despite initial difficulty
I was a little hesitant to buy from reading all of the other reviews but I still went along at bought it. I used to go to the ice cream parole inside the California Rite Aid store called Thrifty and decided to buy a similar ice cream scoop. I looked for the same scoop but they were out of stock and cost about $50-$60 and this one was much much cheaper. When the scooper arrived I read the instructions which said to pull the neck. Easier said than done. I had to ask my dad and brother to pull it for me. After that didn't work I decided to take the metal part off which was just as hard. After many tense minutes passed I was finally able to take it off and pull the neck. I was very disappointed about that but then it became easier to pull away after pulling it in and out many times. I wet it with warm water, shook the excess water off and in the ice cream container, twisting it around and then lifting it off and putting the ice cream in an ice cream cone. Overall, I really like this scoop despite my earlier difficulty. I don't have any problems between soft and hard ice cream like others appear to be having. When I wet the scoop in warm -hot water it softens the ice cream and allows me to serve it. I don't make a big mess with this, no sticky fingers or anything and the ice cream looks very pretty on top of a cone or anything else.

Love It
I experienced this product to be super easy to use and I was able to scoop up ice cream without any problems. I wanted an ice cream scooper like Thrifty's uses but you can't purchase those. This does exactly the same job, I get the same form and density in a scoop. You dip it into water, just like any other scooper before pressing it into the ice cream. make sure your ice cream is deep enough to fill the scooper... a press straight down. if your running low on ice cream, I can easily pick up the remaining into the scoop then press straight down to condense it all together. I ordered the pink color and it is a bubblegum pink.

Neat gadget
This is a pretty cool gadget. I dipped the scoop into a glass of hot water while dishing out the ice cream. The ice cream was rock solid from the deep freezer. It cut through it like butter. The kids absolutely loved the shapes and the fact that I could stack vanilla and chocolate so neatly. Even the adults were impressed. Taking it apart for cleaning is a bit difficult. However, the more I do it, the easier it becomes.

Well it’s not the best for removing ice cream from the bucket but for all other stuff it’s great

So-so... Wouldn't recommend
Icecream has to be really hard or it doesn't work. The top button to lift/lower the pusher inside is kinda temperamental to deal with. My daughter likes to use it but some of the ice cream always gets stuck inside and you have to use your finger/spoon to get it all out. It frustrates me to use it. It's nothing like the old fashioned scoopers they use at thriftys, we were really wanting a scooper like theirs!

Molto resistente, facile da usare e da pulire, permette di porzionale in qualche istante anche il gelato appena uscito dal congelatore, quando non è proprio così soffice. Presenta molto bene il gelato e ci si può divertire mettendoci le guarnizioni.
