The Bheka unfilled round cotton zafu cover can be filled with the stuffing of your choice to make the perfect cushion for sitting meditation, pranayama practice and anytime you want to sit in comfort in a cross legged postion. It is important to have your hips above your knees in seated postures. This eases the strain on your back muscles, tilts the pelvis forward and brings length and alignment to the spine. This posture in turn opens the chest and lungs for deep even breathing. Keep this in mind when seated on a low chair as well. If your knees are at the same height as or higher than your hips you would do well to add a cushion to the seat to save your back. This unfilled zafu cover is covered in durable 100% cotton twill with a handle for easy carrying. The size is about 14" wide x 8" tall when fluffed and 16"wide x 6" tall when compressed. Either way, it weighs about 6 pounds when filled.
