Total Control Grip-iT Analog Stick Covers, Set of 4

I recently bought the Grip-iT Analog Stick Covers for my gaming controller, and they have made a significant difference in my gaming experience. Well first impressions GREAT value! Day 1 Reaction PS3 - DOES NOT Fit. Horrible (0/5) PS4 - Fits fine, not much difference contorts fine though w/ some grip (3/5) Xbox 360 - Takes some working to over a stick evenly, but feels good if you get center 4/5 Xbox One - Amazing alternative to Alpha Kontrol freeks if you just want a cover. The grip is much better and covers the inner circular "hole" the XB1 sticks have. Not much more width increase (maybe 5-10%?) but less likely to slip off. (5/5) Need to stress make sure you center them correctly. Again will update this down the road. Lets see if they last 2 weeks w/o disintegration like Kontrol Freek Alphas -------------------------- 1/30/15 Update I'm back just to say how amazing these are. I don't know how a 4 pack is still sold for under 5 bucks. As of today I have removed my Alphas entirely, ordered ANOTHER 4 pack of Grip-Its and am just so happy w/ them. I also want to change up some ctrl feedback PS4 - I'd worked w/ it some more, and yea - there's a big difference. Plus I heard ps4 sticks are easily rubber-destroyed. (search youtubee ) = 4/5 These LAST. Holy crap a product for under 5 bucks made by some small company that LASTS. But still they don't fit the ps3 sticks! XD XB1, PS4, 360 are wonderful. By them today! By them yesterday!

The PS4 controller is much-improved over the PS3 controller, in a few ways, but one of them is the analog sticks, which are more responsive, made of a more grippable type of plastic/rubber, and shaped differently (rather than rounded off, they are more flat, and even a slightly concave center. Still, my hands get sooooo sweaty during intense gameplay, that my thumbs were still slipping off at inopportune times. So I started looking for ways to improve the grip surface. I tried cutting appropriately-sized circles out of velcro (the furry side, not the plastic hooky side) and sticking them on top of the sticks. That actually worked fairly well. I also tried bumble bee yoyo break pad stickers (cork), which worked extremely well, but kind of hurt a little (due to the hard edges around the star-like ridge shape). I also tried cutting circles out of bumpy rubbery tub tread stickers. That didn't work at all. Then I thought "maybe someone makes a product to add grip to analog sticks", and sure enough, I found 3 or 4 different products like this on Amazon.com. I didn't go overboard .. I only ordered 2 different ones: The first set I ordered (silicon caps with multiple little nubs on the surface .. sold on Amazon by a few different sellers, under different company names), was a TOTAL waste of money. It said silicon, which made me think they'd be rubbery, but they were fairly hard plastic, and actually made my sweaty thumbs slip even more. The second set however, these ones by the company GRIP-IT, are awesome. I highly recommend them. They are textured, very rubbery, very non-slip ... a definitely huge improvement. They were bit tricky to get on, and get them centered, which worried me at first that they might come off, but they don't. Once they're on, they stay on very well, and feel great. It also occurred to me that a tiny puff of baby powder / talc powder absorbs moisture and improves grip, so I've been doing that too sometimes. Not a lot, so your hands are all powdery. Just a tiny amount.

I bought the Grip-it's and the FPS Freek CQC by KontrolFreek at the same time to compare. This is a PS3 based review.. I don't own an Xbox and I have been mostly playing Battlefield 3 lately. The reason I ordered these products to try out is that I find the tactile feel of the PS3 controller sticks is lacking and inconsistent. If my hands are dry they feel just ok... Unfortunately my hands get a little sweaty at times and that's when the stock sticks start to feel "squirmy" and imprecise and it has been affecting my gameplay (which needs all the help it can get, honestly). I have tried both products extensively and greatly prefer the Grip-it's at this time. The Grip-it's work as advertised... They add a nice layer of tactile feel and all-season grip, are semi-easy to install and maintain the basic convex shape of the stock stick. Measured with a dial caliper, they only add .063" (1.6mm) of height to the stick so the feel is easy to adjust to and the main benefit; they DO improve the feel of control and connectedness to the game if you are already used to the PS3 controller. The negatives of the Grip-it's: They are a little tricky to install when brand new and "stiff" and might take a couple tries. Once installed they will probably be shifted off-center and if you're anal like me you will want to "work" them into place. Once you have them centered you might notice the edges look a bit uneven and mine have some minor flaws in the silicone molding on the outer edge... Minor cosmetic stuff, just don't look too hard. As for control negatives, the biggest one is that they can rub on the controller at the full travel of stick movement. This causes the stick to drag during circular movements and might be a problem with some games. They also add a bit of firm give (springiness) to the top of the stick. As a result I have noticed that it seems to require slightly more pressure pushing down to click the stick button, not a problem for me but YMMV. The CQC is a completely different animal. They clip onto the top of the stick instead of wrapping around. They have a concave top face, and they add significantly more height. Measured with a dial caliper, the tallest point adds .178" (4.5mm) to the stock height and the depression in the face is ~ .060" (1.5mm) deep. The grip surface and compound is excellent quality. I am not going to give the CQC a negative review because it is a quality product and I can see how many will prefer it if coming from an Xbox controller or just taking the time to adjust. For myself it just feels a bit too foreign in my hands compared to the Grip-it's. The Grip-it's are also much better value... You get twice as many for half the price compared to the CQC which is manufactured with a more expensive over-molding process. If you like the basic feel and shape of the PS3 controller and just want to upgrade the feel of the sticks I highly recommend the Grip-It's.

I've been using my Xbox 360 controller for over five years now almost everyday and I must tell you, controllers do wear down (my controller barely has any of the rubber left; basically worn to the plastic thumb sticks). So I searched online to see what would be best solution, and i found the Grip-iT Analog Stick Covers. For about 4 dollars, why wouldn't any gamer buy these? Whether if you're a casual gamer or a hardcore one, these help A LOT! They can be a little difficult to put on, depending on the type of controller you have, what console it belongs to and how worn down the thumb sticks are. But after about a minute or two, my controller felt new again. I have had these for a couple weeks now and these are pros and cons. PROS: + Improved my response time to all games due to added Grip-iT grips. + Has very EXCELLENT grip/traction, even for intense game play; Non-slip. + Improves my leverage, allowing me click and move my thumb sticks much easier. + Cheap; around 4 dollars (without shipping). + Much easier to buy and put these grips on instead of taking your controller apart to put in new thumb sticks. + includes 2 sets of two grips, 2 black and 2 blue. CONS: + May be difficult to put the Grip-iT grips on your controller's thumb stick, depending on type of controller, type of console and condition of thumb sticks. + Some people may not like the non-symmetrical logo where the thumbs are meant to be; they/you might prefer a couple of stud points like the original Xbox 360 controller or rounded thumb sticks like the Playstation controllers (I don't mind it though, the outer ring helps by keeping your thumbs in place and the logo doesn't bother me, even though I would prefer some thumb studs instead.). >It does what it was meant to do, gives you grip when you need it! Excellent product for the price.<

I play games on both, the Xbox 360 and PlayStation3. When I bought Grip-iT Analog Covers I bought them primarily out of curiosity due to the positive reviews I've seen on the product page. I was not disappointed! First I covered the thumb-sticks on my Xbox 360 controller. Xbox 360 controller Thumb-Sticks are great by themselves, and mine were not damaged or anything like that. I thought I'd give it a try. To my surprise controlling the games did get better. That is due to two reasons. First the area in touch with the thumb becomes wider, which gives more leeway if you move your thumb around on the thumb stick. Second the material the grip covers are made from is a very nice textured rubber that really does give a feeling of "good grip". Finaly, it makes the thumb stick slightly higher than the thumb-stick without anything on. It maybe about a quarter of an inch, but it makes a big difference when you're aiming in shooter games. When the thumb stick is taller the distance you have to move the stick to make the camera or character move is greater, thus offering more precision. I was surprised when a 1/4 of an inch made a difference, but it did. I also tried the same pair of grips on my PlayStation 3 Dual Shock 3 controller. Since players always complained about the PlayStation thumb-sticks the effect is even more dramatic. DualShock3 sticks are shaped like a mushroom with the center being elevated, as opposed to Xbox controller, where the center is pushed in or concave. This causes some players, including myself, to slip their thumbs accidentally, especially in shooter games. With the Grip-It covers on, the finger does not slip anymore and the surface becomes kind of flat instead of mushroom shaped. This makes playing games on PS3 more fun. So, I highly recommend you try these Grip-It thumbstick covers. For $5 you cannot go wrong.

If you experience pain in the center of your thumb from a few hours of non-stop play these will greatly improve upon that discomfort. If you have a hard time keeping your thumbs centered on the joysticks due to the slippery nature of your controller's original soft rubber then these will also greatly improve on that. Here's why it's just "Okay" for me though: The package comes with 2 sets as seen in the image, that's not a terrible thing, but there's an issue when it comes to long term play. I started Horizon: Zero Dawn and within about 4 hours I finally applied these to my controller due to discomfort. It wasn't until about halfway through the game (roughly 32 hours) that I realized my controller had nuggets of rubber all around the outside of the joystick and in the pit under the knobs. Now, this isn't a major problem because it's sort of just cosmetic. You may not even see it on a black controller, but as mine is white from the Destiny 1 bundle I could clearly see it. A few more hours in (roughly 50 or so) I started noticing this same shrapnel of plastic all along the top of where my thumbs rest. It smeared on my thumbs and started to wear down, but the comfort did not really change luckily. Let me just say, I know not everyone is going to play that long, but as I was recovering from some medical issues I had no other schedule for my week than to veg out and play a game from start to finish. Long story, short / Final notes: If you're a casual gamer that just needs a tiny lift and support on the toggles then this will help. Not immensely, but a good bit. It's also worth mentioning that you'll notice a greater grip on the joysticks overall, but do keep in mind you'll start to see wear and tear on these after just 50 hours. 72 hours in the rubber is still fine, but a lot of wear has been had to the point that I can sort of feel the thin distance between rubber and original joystick knob, Also, the whole covers turn and spin on the top a little easier than they should, if at all. This is just my experience, but I recommend you try it out, see what you think, and be mindful of the rubber bits in the joystick pit underneath so as to not damage your joystick's movement in the long term.

Really cool and simple little things. You turn them inside out and pop them on your control stick, and that’s that. I was playing Killer Instinct and got tired of my thumbs slipping off during some really hard combos. These stopped that. My thumb now grips firmly to the control stick. They look a little uncomfortable, but they feel great. I’m mister ultra sensitive thumbs too and had no problems. I put them on a variety of controllers for a few systems. They all fit. Though typically the smaller the thumbstick top, the easier they are to put on. What I really like is there is no adhesive or anything. So you can take them off whenever you like and put them on another controller. And they don’t seem to ever move around during play. I like the blue ones too. Didn’t like the color when I bought but found they look great on most controllers. And when they don’t, use the black ones. My only sour point in this purchase is I found six packs of these for sale on Amazon after I bought this four pack, for about the same price. We have PS4, Xbox one, PS3 and Xbox 360 + a naught parrot. Thanks to the parrot all original grips have been ruined. We have gone through countless cheaper versions before finding something that really worked. I have not put these on myself but my children, the youngest age 7 have had no problems with them. I quite like these, but as the rest of the family calls me a noob, I don't think my opinion counts. My husband and boys are really into their games though, and all three love these. We have found them quite durable as well. While not quite parrot proof they have survived being pulled of by the parrot and dropped.

An meinem PS4-Kontroller ist das Gummi gerissen. Ich stand nun vor der Entscheidung neue Sticks oder solche Überzieher wie diese zu kaufen.. Ich habe mich für die letztere Variante entschieden, weil ich keine Lust hatte meinen Controller in Einzelteile zu zerlegen. Die Überzieher habe ich zuerst über die Controllersticks mit dem gerissenen Gummi gezogen. Optisch sah das nicht schön aus, weil der Innenquerschnitt der überzieher dafür zu klein ist. Habe deshalb das gerissene Gummi komplett von den Controllersticks abgezogen und nun passen die Überzieher 100%. Die gedruckten Froschhände in der Mitte der Überzieher stören mich etwas beim Spielen. Die Haptik würde aus meiner Sicht ohne jegliches Motiv viel besser sein. Update am 21.07.17 Nach knapp zwei Monaten Einsatz ist der erste Satz der Überzieher verschlissen. Die Dinger halten nicht mehr so gut an den Sticks (=ausgeleihert). In den Vertiefungen hat sich Schmutz angesammelt. Ich würde mir die Teile nicht nocheinmal kaufen.

Es una lástima que los Dualshock 4 hayan venido tan mal fabricados en lo que a las gomas de los sticks se refiere. Yo tengo la PS4 desde hace un mes y hasta que no me llegaron estas protecciones no empecé a usar la consola y por ende, el mando. Se adaptan perfectamente y protegen bastante bien. Merece la pena hacer ese pequeño gasto. Aunque es un error gordísimo de Sony. Deberían de corregirlo para futuros pads.

les grips se posent facilement, et sont assez discrets sous le pouce. Le relief "patte de gecko" est plutôt joli et ne gène en rien le jeu. J'ai profité des deux couleurs pour personnaliser mes quatre manettes : bleu/bleu, bleu/noir, noir/bleu, noir/noir. bon produit pour le moment

I bought these and the Orb Thumb Grips for my PS4 (http://www.amazon.ca/ORB-Controller-Thumb-Grips-4-Pack/dp/B00GH7UA32/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1424804501&sr=8-1&keywords=ORB+Controller+Thumb+Grips+4-Pack) The Grip-iTs are amazing and much better than the Orbs. They don't look like it when you first look at them, but they seem to have found the perfect size to give them the proper fit so they don't come off, the Orbs must be too tight because they are a pain to put on your controller and then come right off like tying to put on the wrong rubbermaid lid. I like how the blue Grip-iTs look the most but you also get the black ones in the same pack so you can choose which one you like. I find that they really improve my performance in FPS and I can feel them grip my thumbs like crazy. The material is really nice and flexible so they are easy to put on the controller and provide lots of grip. They do not get in the way of rotating the thumb sticks all the way. These are a must have since they will prevent your controller from losing the factory grip pads, but anyone looking at this probably already has started tearing the factory rubber so tell your friends! These still fit nicely over torn rubber, I just left the factory rubber on even though it was torn. I think they would not fit as nicely if you took the factory rubber off.
