Many years ago, when I graduated from college, I was gifted a heavy black and gold Schaefer Pen from one of my old professors--who had become a dear friend as he gently guided me into a career in higher education. He passed shortly after that day and I have come to cherish the pen, thinking of him and his fidelity to his students, each time that I use it.

Had an old engraved ballpoint pen and this fit well.

I have a nice lacquer Sheaffer roller ball pen body which I decided to finally ink up again. Its refill was long gone. I purchased this one only to find that the "slim" rollerball refills are the only ones that will work in modern Sheaffer roller ball pens. Happily, I remembered that I had an old "No Nonsense"-style rollerball pen body, into which this "classic" fits perfectly. So far, it writes smoothly.

This refill did not fix my pen as it was too large. I discovered there are different sized Sheaffer rollerball pen refiles. My pen is a Sheaffer Rollerball II. THIS REFILL ID NOT INDICATE ANY SIZES. So I threw it out. I learned that my size requires a Sheaffer Roller Ball Thin. A learning experience. Just be aware of what you order.

I have and use Sheaffer pens. Office Depot is the only place I used to be able to buy refills and there are no Office Depots anywhere near me any more, and Staples doesn't carry Sheaffer pens or pen refills. This was reasonably priced and it arrived right away. Thank you !
