On my MacBook Pro 15" 2017 it fits well (sticky version) and whilst the lid does not snap shut in true Apple style, it does close and puts the Mac in standby mode. As privacy screen, it does not do a full job in my opinion. If I sit next to the Mac pretending another passenger I can clearly get an idea of which application is being used, be it Word, Chrome or Lightroom. The screen is not completely dark. However, it is difficult to see the words being typed or any detail in pictures. If I stand up, then things become more visible.
