LENOX Tools Hole Saw with Arbor, Speed Slot, 1-3/4-Inch (1772933)

My purposes for this hole saw revolve around woodwork, so I cannot attest to its durability for other materials just yet. I previously purchased one of those hole saw kits from amazon that include a ton of different sizes. While they get the job done when needed, they don't have the same quality as these (Lenox). While making some items out of maple, my old hole saw was struggling to get through the hardwood without burning or leaving nasty teeth marks. I had to make a ton of holes, so I needed to find a better solution. I figured I would give this hole saw a shot and I'm glad I did! This saw went through 2" solid maple as if it were construction grade pine! It left extremely minimal teeth marks and did not burn at all. The teeth marks were so minimal that If you even look at maple wrong it will burn, so I was extremely impressed not to get any marks. The wood disc that is cut off was extremely easy to remove from the saw as well. I've used other hole saws that bind the cut off disc inside the housing and make you have to drill out pieces. Not this bad boy! The center bit also does not come loose if tightened correctly using the set screw. Overall, I totally dig this hole saw and will continue to use this brand in the future.

I needed wood plugs to fit 1.25" PVC T connectors and this created a plug slightly smaller fit to provide enough room for JD Weld glue. I made a total of 20 plugs in a 2x4 and each cut was sharp as the first cut.

Worked well and easy to clean out the trapped wood . Cut fairly fast. Time will tell how well the teeth hold up.

Don't use it to make peep holes in the women's locker rooms. Especially when their in the locker room.

My handyman had the umbrella hole cut & umbrella in picnic table in less than 10 minutes.

I'm sure it's great for other uses but for what I wanted to use it for it worked great, 06 honda shadow vlx600 it fit snuggly into the exhaust to take out the baffle cleanly at the tip.

Not a lot to this. I bought the hole saw to drill a hole in my trailer wall for a power outlet installation. Using an 18V cordless drill (kickin it old school) this saw made it through fairly quickly and the teeth are still in good shape to be used again if need be. LENOX is a recognized name and I felt the ~$15 was a decent price. I would definitely recommend this hole saw to anyone who needs one.
