I guess you can glue anything to anything, but I don't know why you would use them on the screw part, which doesn't touch anything but your fingers. It would probably make the earring harder to grasp to turn the screw for tightening on the ear. **Q: Do these work for studs?** A: I didn't have any studs. But I am sure it probably would work. **Q: How do you apply the silicone pads?** A: I think you put them over the end that screws toward your ear.
