FeinTech VSW04202 HDMI 2.0 Switch 4x1 HD Audio Extractor 7.1 Dolby Atmos 4K 60Hz HDR CEC

Excellent build quality and exceptionally easy to setup and use. I am using the inputs for XBox Series S, PS4 Pro, Amazon Fire Stick 4K and a Media PC, the video output is going to a Dell S3220DGF and the audio HDMI is going to a Yamaha AV receiver, all works with no hassle. Used this to replace the unnecessarily complex HDFury Arcana, which was sent back.

First, the good news. This is a solidly built unit with features that would normally cost a lot more money. And when it's working, it stays working. I've tested with HDR10, but my monitor doesn't support Dolby Vision so can't answer for that. I've knocked it down to four stars because it's temperamental when other equipment is coming out of standby. Once my PC has gone to sleep and wakes up, the monitor doesn't see the signal until I turn the FeinTech switch off and on again. But when I do that the PC sees the monitor as only 1080P instead of 4k, so I have to unplug the cable at the PC end. At that point everything agrees that I have a 4k monitor and the PC is running, and life is good. From the other end sometimes after standby my monitor decides the FeinTech switch doesn't support ARC, Solution, unsurprisingly, turn it off and on again. All of this means I can't hide the switch away, as I need regular access to the physical power switch. (Also, it came with a European power plug and needed an adapter for UK mains. I already had some of those, so not a problem for me).

I am using this device for its intended purpose of splitting the hdmi audio and sending it to a receiver HDMI input. The receiver is older and does not support HDMI 2.0 (dolby vision, HDR, etc). The HDMI out of a 4k bluray player is connected to input 1, the main output is connected to a 77" LG OLED (C1) and the "audio" HDM is connected to the BD HDMI input on a pioneer SC-97 receiver. Using it in "Pass" mode for the audio format. When I play a movie with a DTS-HD track, the audio is sent to the receiver but the audio is dropped every 10-15 seconds making it unusable. Other formats (DD Plus, True HD, Atmos) work fine. The hdmi cables are 8k certified.

It didnt pass any audio to my Sonos Beam. it seems well made but rather expensive for a HMDI Switch so returned. The model up seems to work with Sonos but it isnt available on amazon / in the uk currently

Even though it says it does, tried with a Firestick 4K and a Google Chromecast with Google TV, it doesn't pass Dolby vision or Atmos through the ARC connection (not tried the audio only port) so disappointed. Feels well made but it doesn't work for me.

No UK plug. Frustrating. Need to buy another plug to test it now

The functionality that this switch offers is very good. It allows four units to be connected to a TV and amplifier or sound bar without hdr support or enough hdmi ports. It also supports CEC to the TV. But since it does not support CEC to the sound bar or amplifier, it is not compatible with non-technical people, who don’t understand the concepts of inputs and volume control. Also it is less practical for the rest of us. So, it sits unused. My TV is an LG B8 with a Yamaha YSP-5600 sound bar.

Arrived with only an Eu plug, not acceptable in a product supplied in the UK.

J'en suis très satisfait ; il passe bien tous les formats audio jusqu'a Dolby Atmos et DTS X. Pour la vidéo : aucun souci avec le Hdr 10 et le Dolby Vision. Voici la config que j'ai pu testé : Shield TV 2019 (sur HDMI IN 1) pour Netflix et Disney Plus + Zappiti 4K HDR (sur HDMI IN 2) --> FeinTech VSW04202 --> LG 65C8 (sur OUT A) et Yamaha RX A1050 (sur OUT B audio only qui sort une image noire à 720 P). Bien évidemment, sur Netflix et Disney + c'est limité au Dolby Digital + (faux Dolby Atmos pour streaming). Par ailleurs, pour Prime Vidéo, la Shield ne sort que du HD 1080P (malgré que ce soit inscrit DV ou HDR sur certains flux ; NVIDIA m'a indiqué que c'était un problème de développement de Prime sur Android de la part d'Amazon (les 2 équipes travaillent de concert afin d'y remédier).

Ich habe in den letzten Jahren schon einiges an HDMI-Switches verschiedenster Hersteller verschlissen. Alle hatten über Kurz oder Lang Aussetzer in Bild und/oder Ton. Bis auf einen Tendak 5x1, der aber wegen der Beschränkung auf maximal 4k/30hz für meine Playstation 5 an einem neuen Samsung 4k-Monitor nicht mehr ausgereicht hat. Der Nachfolger Tendak 4x1 mit 4k/60hz war leider nicht wirklich toll - der 1. nach wenigen Tagen defekt, der 2. funktioniert zwar bisher, aber hatte auch schon einige kleinere Aussetzer. Bei der darauf folgenden Recherche bin ich dann über das Gerät von FeinTech gestoßen. (Immerhin mal ein Anbieter, der nicht in China sitzt!) Prinzipiell sind die groben Daten dem des Tendak ähnlich. 4k/60hz, 4x HDMI-In, 1x HDMi-Out, Toslink-Ausgang. Zusätzlich als wirklich feine Sache hat der Feintech noch einen Audio-HDMI-Out, welcher ein blaues Bild an den Receiver schickt mitsamt den kompletten Audio-Informationen. Beim Auspacken macht das kleine Gerät ein recht wertigen Eindruck. Die Fernbedienung.... naja, verrichtet ihren Dienst wie sie soll. Ich habe direkt meine Universalfernbedienung angelernt, die tadellos mit dem Switch funktioniert. Dann erstmal den Tendak abgestöpselt und den FeinTech angeschlossen. Einen HDMI-Eingang hatte ich an meinem Yamaha V-773-Receiver noch frei, so dass der Anschluss über das optische Kabel an sich überflüssig ist. Testweise lasse ich den bisher nachgeschalteten Toslink-Switch ersteinmal noch angeschlossen. Der Ersteindruck im Betrieb ist auf jeden Fall 1a. Alle 3 Playstations (3, 4 Pro und 5) laufen daran auf Anhieb, wie sie sollen. Die 4er und 5er erkennen problemlos, dass jetzt statt 5.1 auch 7.1-Ausgabe möglich wäre. (Man muss jedoch die Video- und Audio-Einstellung auf der PS5 nochmals vornehmen, da sie den Monitor durch den Wechsel des Switches für ein neues Gerät hält und standardmäßig auf TV-2.0-Ausgabe schaltet.) Am 4. Eingang hängt der alte Tendak 5x1, an dem diverse Retro-Konsolen über OSSC sowie eine XBox360 und ein NES über einen anderen HDMI-Converter angeschlossen sind. Alles funktioniert exakt so wie es soll. Einziges kleines Manko, das aber anscheinend mit der optionalen automatischen Eingangswahl zusammenhängt, ist, dass der FeinTech-Switch beim Einschalten eines Gerätes 2 oder 3x kurz Bild und Ton für einen Augenblick nicht durchreicht. Daher flackert das Bild anfangs kurz und der Ton hat Aussetzer für ein paar Sekunden. Wenn ich "Auto" ausschalte und den Eingang vorher manuell auswähle, passiert dies nach dem Einschalten jedoch nicht. Von daher (für mich) verschmerzbar. Wenn der FeinTech-Switch jetzt auch noch langfristig durchhält, habe ich endlich den für mich perfekten HDMI-Switch gefunden. Kleines Update 09.11.23: Der Switch läuft nach wie vor problemlos. Die kurzen Aussetzer ganz zu Beginn haben sich nach kürzerer Zeit auch bei der manuellen Eingangswahl eingeschlichen, aber das ist eigentlich der einzige, sehr kleine Kritikpunkt. Der Ton über den Extra-HDMI-Sound-Ausgang ist, zumindest über meinen Yamaha-Receiver in 5.1-Konfiguration, deutlich räumlicher als vorher über den Toslink-Anschluss. Von daher nach wie vor eine klare Empfehlung für das FeinTech-Gerät.

Acquistato per inviare l'audio dalle nuove console series x e ps5 che non hanno uscita ottica al sintoampli, vecchiotto ma buono, che non supporta il 4k passthrough. Tutto funziona alla perfezione. Testato con PC, lettore bluray-uhd e ps4 pro e one x visto che ancora non mi sono arrivate le nuove console, tutto perfetto audio lossless supportato e immagini 4k@60hz 4:4:4. NB: Per l'audio del tv io lo ho collegato direttamente via toslink (il tv) al sintoampli si deve fare così. Nbb: Il mio tv Panasonic 50ax800 ha una configurazione particolare con arc switchabile su hdmi 2 o 4 e hdcp modificabile 1.4 o 2.2 o auto sulla hdmi 2 (2.0) quindi visto che ciò poteva portare a possibili problemi dovuti al tv e non al Feintech ho disabilitato l'inutile per me viera link ( ossia i comandi CEC ai dispositivi ) visto che avendo svariate periferiche collegate ( sintoampli, bd uhd, apple tv, nontendo switch, ps4 pro pc e one x e ps3 ) mi creava solo confusione, gestisco tutto a mano come voglio io e funziona alla grande. Ottimo prodotto per quanto visto fino ad oggi, per la durabilità nel tempo aggiornerò tra un annetto. :) Amazon impeccabile come sempre per la spedizione. :)

Introducción. Con el VSW04202 he conseguido mi objetivo de obtener imagen 4K 60HZ en la TV y sonido 5.1 en mi "AVR". Tengo una TV Panasonic FZ800 4K y Un Home cinema de Samsung HT-C5500 con entrada y salida 1080P. Por lo tanto, no podía Tener 4K y 5.1 a la vez. La única forma era con cable óptico .Pero de esa forma pierdes DTS-HD y DD True HD que son compatibles con mi equipo. Pruebas HDMI Las conexiones que he realizado son las siguientes: -PC conectado con cable HDMI 2.0 al VSW04202 -FIRE STICK 4K conectado directamente al VSW04202 -VSW04202 conectado por la salida HDMI de video con un cable HDMI 2.0 al TV FZ800 en la entrada HDMI 4k 60 HZ (no ARC) -VSW04202 conectado por la salida HDMI de audio con un cable HDMI 1.4 al Home Cinema -Home cinema conectado a la TV por cualquier entrada HDMI, esto no es necesario para funcionar (Comprobado), pero si me hace falta para ver los blu-ray por el Home Cinema y también para configurar los altavoces. Encendí el VSW04202 seleccioné la entrada 1 donde tengo el Fire Stick, deshabilité el spdif y Arc , pulsé en el mando Pass y comenzó a sonar por el Home Cinema. Las pruebas de audio y video han sido todas satisfactorias. El VSW04202 saca por el HDMI de Video, Video y Audio, por lo tanto a la TV le llega el sonido. Esto puede ser una ventaja o una desventaja ya que por ejemplo: -Desventaja: Cuando veo con el PC contenido que tiene audio 5.1, por el Home Cinema se oye perfectamente, pero por la TV solamente sale un ruido molesto. (Con bajar el volumen de la TV es suficiente) Esto curiosamente no me pasa con el Fire Stick. Si reproduzco contenido 5.1, Se oye perfectamente por el Home cinema en 5.1 y simultáneamente por la TV en estéreo. Pero al final terminas bajando el volumen de la TV igual para no solapar los sonidos. -Ventaja: No tienes por que utilizar el Home cinema siempre. Sobre todo para ver contenido que sea estéreo, como por ejemplo, los canales de Movistar a través del Fire Stick. Y así utilizas solamente la TV. He comprobado que es compatible con lo máximo que permiten mis dispositivos: En una misma reproducción 4K 60Hz con HDR10+ y sonido DTS-HD Ha funcionado perfecto. No tengo cortes ni problema alguno. La señal HDR10+ se activa en la FZ800, poniendo el logo característico en pantalla. No tengo posibilidad de comprobar Dolby Atmos ni Dolby Visión ya que mis dispositivos no son compatibles. Pruebas SPDIF y auriculares: No he probado la salida óptica ya que como dije antes es algo que no me parece interesante si lo puedes conectar por HDMI. (Si tu intención es conectar por SPDIF hay aparatos que lo hacen y son sumamente más baratos que este) He probado la salida de auriculares y la verdad es que funciona, pero es casi testimonial, apenas tiene potencia. Conclusión. Este aparato me ha salvado de tener que comprar Home Cinema 4k o AVR 4k Ha funcionado perfectamente en todo momento siendo compatible con HDR10+ 4K60Hz y DTS-HD Estoy tremendamente satisfecho con la compra. A pesar de que ronda los 80 euros, vale cada céntimo que se paga.
