**Q: Are the bottoms of the dishes/bowls rough? Will they scratch a hard wood table?**
A: Yes, they are slightly rough.  However I took a 3M 300 grit sanding sponge and sanded the rough edges.  Now stacking them won't scratch the surface of the item stacked on.
