The material and test are immense in this book...with 10 practice tests and included DVD (with proctor timer). My nephew have informed me that he has taken 4 of the practice exam and have already improved his score! Although this book will not solely prep the student fully for SAT, it is sure a great study aide. The material covered is similar to paid SAT study sessions that cost hundreds of dollars. Practice makes perfect and this SAT study exams have 10 to practice which will be enough to get plenty of exposure and practice to the real SAT. Great supplement to any SAT guide. Review: Great guide - I did my SAT for the very first time in June with absolutely NO preparation (literally none, as in, I didn't even know the test format or anything when I walked in.) I got 1950, but did really badly on writing (570). I've gone through the writing section of this book then redid my SAT in December and writing went so well I'm expecting to go up by at least 100 points. This book is pretty comprehensive and there are so many practice tests you'll never run out. I've only really used the writing section guide though, so that's all I can talk about as SAT prep really bores me. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Necessity for Any Student looking to get into a Great College *by S***I on June 10, 2014* The Official SAT Study Guide affectionately dubbed by many high school student as the Blue book is more than an essential for preparing for the SAT. The book offers student the most (10) OFFICIAL SAT tests in comparison to book by other third party testing companies that create there own tests and questions, which do not rely on the same structures as official SAT questions. The reason I did not give this book a full five stars is because I believe it is lacking in regards of SAT test strategies and techniques. However, I still think this book is a must, because it provides students the best types of question to practice before test day. In regards to publishing, the book is made quite well and the pages are relative smooth and good to work on in comparison to the coarse pages of many other test companies. Finally, an added bonus is the CD in the back of the book. Many users (including myself) find the CD very gimmicky and not particularly helpful compared to the book.
