F44 Metal Detector with Weatherproof Design, Large LCD Display, and Sensitive Detection Features, Ideal for Both Beginners and Experienced Treasure Hunters Seeking Reliable Performance.

After lengthy research into what metal detector to buy as a first time hobbyist, I first decided on the slightly cheaper F22 but then decided that the extra features of the F44 were worth it. It arrived quickly and was easy to assemble. The positive features of this product far outweigh any negative qualities and I have been extremely happy with it so far. The larger search coil makes finding things much quicker and was the main reason I chose this detector. If you are interested in finding items faster, it's well worth it. The pinpoint feature works pretty well, but not amazingly. It definitely gives you a clearer idea of where to look, but there's usually still a good amount of searching around. The depth that the detector searches is very good, and seems to be a maximum of about 14 inches or so, although most everything found so far has been within a few inches of the surface. Sensitivity overall is great and can detect even very small things. I really like the different search modes and the ability to adjust sensitivity easily. That all being said, I think if you are just stating out and you just want to see whether you like metal detecting or you just want to have a few hours of fun every now and then, go with the slightly cheaper option. If you are really interested in searching regularly and want something well built and reliable, with some extra features, this product will be a great choice.

Got it for Christmas. Used it with 11 year old nephew. We loved it. We found oodles if coins in my parents’ lawn and at the park. None of the coins were old. But it is such joy to find something of value. We used the coin setting. Great that you can tell it to disregard steel/iron to avoid wasting time on trash. I definitely needed to be able to calibrate the mineral level in the different soils I was searching in. Big differences. Liked being able to know the depth I had to dig before digging. I still need to get better at recognizing what the conductivity numbers may be telling me in terms of what the item might be.

Not bad. It’s definitely not the top of the line with technology but does a good job. My main goal was to replace an old radio shack detector I used to locate underground wires, stakes, and find lost screws and bolts. It does that just fine so I’d think it would work well on coins and relics. Lite, easy to assemble, and change batteries. I like batteries in this instance as I don’t have time to wait for charging.

The Fisher F44 metal detector is an excellent unit for finding coins as it is designed to do this with very good results. It is basically a turn on and go detector. It is a very light-weight detector at just a little over 2lb-3oz. the newer DD coil is a big improvement over the old concentric one. I've found coins up to ten inches deep and the meter is very accurate. I took the 5 inch goldbug pro coil and put it on the F44 and it worked just fine and produced about the same results as the11 inch DD, and that knocked off another 3or 4 ounces, so in closing I would recommend this detector for beginners and advance detectorist alike, as for the money it's a very stable and lite weight unit and it won't bankrupt you or wear you out like some of the expensive heavy weight tanks out there.. Great machine! I found a wealth of junk in my back yard from part of a grill to a cap to an oil drum, one earring and a water hose nozzle! But seriously it’s a great detector and easy to use. I really like it

Trouble with programming, resulting in lack of ability to switch between metal detection choices. Long distance and pricey shipping charges to repair location.

I just love it. Bought to go detecting with husband, it is great! Have had great experience with product and seller. Highly recommended for first time user like me or advanced user like him. Very lightweight. Easy to learn, can't beat the price. Arrived quickly on time, exactly as described. I would recommend Fisher products and the seller is fantastic.

Great metal detector

I bought it primarily for finding buried survey stakes. I found the two I was looking for fairly quickly. I knew roughly where they were so didn't have to search all over. It pays to follow the user guide to understand the operation & indicator signals & sounds. I found the pin point button very helpful then used a plastic marker to show the exact location. Then probed around the immediate area with a 8" nail. The probe also worked well. You know when you've found the iron stake with the nail. Saves digging up much of anything except directly over the stake. I have more survey stakes to find but don't anticipate any problem.

Der Detector ist ein super Gerät. Es macht unheimlich Spaß mit ihm zu sondeln und er ist sehr präzise. Es gab kleinere Schwierigkeiten bei der Lieferung, aber dier Verkäufer HOBBY ONE DETECTION hat sich unheimlich ins Zeug gelegt um die Ware schnellstens zu liefern. Dazu kommt das der Detector 50€ billiger war als bei anderen Anbietern. Und ohne Versandkosten... für die Mühe nochmals...vielen lieben Dank!!! ... jetzt bin ich glücklich 🤗
