This is a stable OBD-II interface that supports the elm327 protocol. Unlike cheap Chinese clones that do not work right, it supports proper diagnostics across a variety of softwares. I've used it on my Ducati successfully. Recommended.

I had already scheduled a return because it wasn't taking the coding in bimmercode after 10 %. But tried it one last time and it worked miraculously. Trick I think is to keep your phone as close as physically possible to the scanner. Thus a distance of 1 feet won't work as when you have the phone in your lap. Bend down and decrease the distance to 1-2 inches. Maybe it won't work for you but it was what made it work for us after multiple tries so cancelling the return and thank you. BMW X3 with bimmercode.

Works very well with Kona EV. Not many compatible with EVs. Paired with Car scanner app. It works like a Pro. You can store the live data and generate graphs over long distance drive....charging etc

The product works as expected. I am using Bimmercode and Bimmerlink and it works well with the device. Only problem was it didn't fit into the female port of the car even after applying sufficient pressure (mine is a BMW F30). Then I had to buy an extension (which was around 600 INR) and then it's ok. I think maybe a problem with the pins.

Very costly

I use this in conjunction with the Torque Pro app for real time monitoring of my coolant temp and STFT/LTFT (short + long-term fuel trims) on my older BMW E46. I have used it to read and clear codes, but do not expect this to provide more detailed information or in-depth scanning. You will need a much more expensive scan tool for that purpose. This is good for basic diagnosis and engine sensor monitoring only. It is also not compatible with Bimmercode which was a disappointment as I planned on using this for coding certain features as well. However, I have been using this permanently tethered to my car's OBD2 port to provide real-time data while I'm driving for the past 4 months, and for that purpose it has served me well. I was able to track the LTFT data daily which reached 10% a few weeks ago, notifying me of a few vacuum leaks due to a torn intake boot and a 20 year old fuel filter that hadn't been changed since it rolled off the assembly line in 2002. Monitoring LTFT is crucial in alerting you to vacuum leaks, issues with your fuel system, and lean/rich conditions overall.

L'ho preso per cancellare l'errore che genera l'accensione della spia motore e dell'avviso "Far Controllare Motore" sulla mia Fiat Punto 1.4 GPL del 2016. Premetto che so che l'errore è dovuto al sensore pedale frizione che ogni tanto manda un falso alla centralina, anche se lui e l'auto funzionano. Siccome capita solo 1/2 di volte l'anno e la spia si spegne da sola dopo un paio di riavvi, il meccanico mi ha sempre sconsigliato la sostituzione del sensore e si limita a cancellare l'errore memorizzato in centralina. Quindi ho pensato che sarebbe stato utile un dispositivo del genere e fare la cancellazione io stesso. Tra l'altro ho scoperto che era presente anche un altro errore che indicava pulsantiera vetri lato guida guasta, visto che anche lei non ha problemi ho cancellato tutti gli errori senza paura. Il dispositivo è bellino si deve accendere la macchina e inserire la presa nella porta OBD, in realtà sulla mia auto basta dare corrente al quadro e funziona anche senza il motore acceso, una volta fatto questo basta associarlo via bluetooth a un qualsiasi smartphone android o apple. La cosa più macchinosa è scegliera l'app più adatta e installarla, io per il mio scopo mi sono trovato bene con Cam Scanner. Non tutte le app sono compatibili con tutte le auto quindi dovete fare delle prove, soprattutto alcune funzionalità sono disponibili solo nella versione a pagamento delle app. Importante è non toccare cose di cui non si consoce il funzionamento per evitare danni. Il dispositivo vale i soldi spesi e può essere molto utile anche per valutare l'onesta del meccanico in quanto si può fare una scansione delle anomalie prima di portare l'auto in officina, può essere utile anche per resettare il service in caso di tagliando fai da te. Non indispensabile ma sicuramente valido.
