Followed the tennis ball directions out of the package, then fluffed on the lowest heat setting without them for about 15 minutes. It's been a month and I just did a "first wash", and it kept it's fluffy structure. This blanket has been great, and I think with general common sense care, it could last a long time -- which is important to me. I ordered it to use under a thinner quilt comforter, and it's been fantastic as an insulating layer. Very happy with the fabric, also -- soft, comfortable, and seems it would be easy to spot clean if needed. Great for use an additional layer underneath other bedding, which is technically what I ordered it for, but I could also see it makong a great comforter in general, especially for a guest room.
