Review: Works great and doesn't feel flimsy or cheap, seems like it will hold up for years to come - This works great so far, havent got to use it on the water yet tho, its winter now so I won't be breaking these out till next year but just from testing them out by hand I know they will work perfect. Worked with regular fender line from Walmart, easy to pull thru and locks so it won't slide back loosing grip on the rope. Looks like you can mount it to many different things, not just railing. Can work with pretty much anything that's attached to your boat and then best part is you can take them off and hook them back up in a matter of seconds. At $18 a piece they are a little spendy in my opinion, would have bought sooner if that price was set for the pair but still happy with the product and the durability of the plastic. It was a little spendy but it's totally worth it, I looked at others about half the price and it was much more difficult to adjust or they slipped off. This securely holds it in place without the rope slipping down and you can mount it to pretty much anything because it taps around with the rope. One thing you'll need to do is take the fender grip to the store with you when you get your rope tho so you get the right size rope, too big wont with thru and too small will slide out without the grip being able to lock it in place. I paid $20 each last year and I got 2, $15 for them now is not a bad deal either **Q: How would you hook it up to a cleat?** A: Hi Dawn, to use the Fendergrip on a cleat, form a large loop at the top and place the loop around the horns of the cleat; the Fendergrip will lay on its side next to the cleat.
