Household Essentials Single Line Retractable Clothesline for Hanging Laundry, 40 Feet, White

This has made my small laundry room a bit more functional. Easy to use and install. Also Retracts easily. For the price it works great!

I've had one these for years and years and they really hold up and last a long time. The old one was probably 10 years old and finally wore out and looked pretty bad. But it still retracted ! So bit the bullet and got a new one. I tend to hang very heavy things on it, ususally our king sized bed cover and when wet it is heavy. But this clothesline can always handle it. I will probably always have one. As long as I can lift a wet king sized bed cover .....

We bought two of these (Not sure if they were the exact same model) about 2 - 3 years ago. They look identical to this one. The original two are still working fine. The original brackets did break off, but I was able to replace them with metal brackets and they have worked fine ever since. I was surprised when I opened the new one to find that the mounting bracket was metal. Either the previous two were a different model, or the company has upgraded to metal mounting brackets. It still looks plastic in the picture, but what we recieved was metal. I installed the new one in between the two old ones and they all work fine. The new one also has a different coating on the line itself which seems not to be as slick and holds the clothes better. I am satisfied with the product even with its plastic weaknesses.

These are my favorite kind of lines, you can put them away and they are not some THING sitting in your yard. With a couple of laundry line poles they work very well. I have two on my fence that stretch all the way across my yard to the other back fence, they are sturdy and the end piece caps the cable box so that you don't get little Friends living inside your cable box. Very cool little invention really.

I used one of these before and it worked great. However this one only lasted a month and is no longer retractable so I have a cord just hanging. Very disappointed.

I ordered this to replace a line that I had for almost 10 years. After a few uses this line (which is much thinner than my last one) is already fraying where the clothes prop was placed to support the weight of the clothes on the line. When I replace this one, which may be next spring, I will look for a different brand. It is OK for very occassional use, but I hang clothes out often and this will not hold up.

very practical and since its retractable cant be put out of the way when not in use. Where i live they permit clothes line however I didnt have one (I,m too high up to be able to put one on a tree or something. So I made myself one on my gallery

I bought this clothes line because I got tired of hanging clothes on our shower curtain rod. I have a lot of cheap cotton tees that shouldn't be put in the dryer as well as expensive athletic clothing and intimates. I hung the line on m balcony and so far it has done really well. The line does sag a bit under the weight of your clothes but I guess that is to be expected. Overall very happy with this purchase.
