Tenda Nova Mesh WiFi System MW5G - Covers up to 3500 sq.ft - AC1200 Whole Home WiFi Mesh System - Gigabit Mesh Router for 80 Devices - Dual-Band Mesh Network to Replace Router and Extender - 3-Pack

This mesh router system is a step up on a few levels. #1 - The units are WiFi 6 with wider bandwidth to deal with more wireless traffic. #2 - The set-up was straight forward and satellite units connected very easily. The base unit / controller connected easily with the router provided by my fiber ISP. Setting the SSID / WIFI network name was easy and all wifi devices were accepted with fresh IP addresses via the onboard DHCP server. This is an improvement / step up in functionality and response. Devices that are able to use the 5G and advanced features of wifi 6 have noticeable improvement in speed, connectivity and stability. The 5G signal is stronger than the previous unit. The 2.4G signal and stability have vastly improved with a much quicker response in connectivity and throughput. To this point, after using the system for 24 hours, I feel comfortable in recommending this product.

I’ve been really impressed with the Tenda AX3000 WiFi 6 Mesh System. My modem had to be set up in the basement, which usually means weak coverage upstairs, but this mesh system completely solved the problem. It blankets my 2000 sq ft house with strong, reliable WiFi, and the connection has been rock-solid and stable. Setup was quick and straightforward, and I haven’t had to mess with it since—it just works. Great coverage, great performance, and definitely worth it if you need consistent whole-home WiFi. The app was also easy to setup and works well when needed for network management.

The pros: Really, really easy to setup. These small boxes are really strong with their signal, would even cover my whole 2200 sqft two-story home using just the primary node. Activating only two of the three included nodes (one for the first, and one for the second floor) I managed to cover not only the whole house, but my front and back yards. The "roaming" from node to node is quite flawless with our iphones, with no connection drop or hiccups in the process, although I cannot understand why my wifi printer and sometimes my laptop (which are just two meters away from the primary node, in the same room) connect to the secondary node (more than four meters and a concrete floor away). The cons: In general, these get the job done, but the system misses some sort of wps pairing option, it could be software included by the manufacturer via a future firmware and app update I guess (had to make my wifi printer "re-learn" my new Nova's SSID and password unplugging the Nodes, and using an old router configured with the exact SSID and password of the Nova's, to then activate the Nova network, quite a hassle but easy in the end). I would also appreciate a browser interface for more enthusiastic and knowledgeable users (currently only the smartphone app allows you to configure these), so some more management options could be reached (no manual channel selection). Using inssider I find some cleaner channels than those the Nova's have chosen, specially in the 5Ghz band, although I still get an excellent range with both 2.4 and 5Ghz bands. Again: Why do some devices like my printer and laptop connect to the farthest node? All in all, I'm still happy with the purchase. I'll update if the experience using them goes significantly better or worse.

Works great. I needed a mesh system because some of my iot devices could not use repeaters and were too far from the main router. Making a smooth transition from a Tenda AC10 router, several servers, reserved IPs, separate SSIDs and one extender took some planning and it took several hours to understand and navigate the Tenda app and web interface setup to do what I needed to do. The app is what I used to setup the network initially, then I moved to the web interface and deleted the app. However, if you have a simple network - it should be very easy because the setup in the app is geared for simple networks. And once you have one node setup, the other nodes set themselves up automatically after plugging them in.

This is remarkably easy to setup and the range is impressive. The app works great as I have this paired with a Tenda router as well. Connectivity is great, zero drops or holes in the coverage. Speed is also awesome, keeps up with my 1gb service, I get around 7-800mb down. 5/5

Update 02 Feb 2021: After 3 months this unit died. Two of the three units as the main one connected to my cable modem. All I get is a red light and no internet connection. My Mac is both hardwired and wifi connected to the unit as indicated when I go into the Network pref setting. But trying to use an app to connect over the internet fails with a msg indicating no internet connection. Network settings say both wifi and hardwire are connected but there is not Internet signal. Also Tenda has failed to provide a firmware update to increase security to WPA2 (aes), anything less is not secure. I was hoping they would release a firmware update for the security but not yet, meanwhile I have a dead system. Will update again if I can ever reach tech support. It works great, strong signal and no lost of speed around the nodes. Earlier I tried two brands of WiFi extenders with my old Apple AirPort Extreme, never could get those to work so decide to try this Nova mesh network setup from Tenda, success! Master node is in 2nd story office, another node is just inside a window that opens into an enclosed patio with a metal/wood insulated roof, third node is in the attached garage. All work great with a strong signal and same download/upload speeds. Used to be a highly degraded signal at both remote node locations. Put one node in the garage to allow solid WiFi signal for an external solar panel box that is WiFi enabled to allow monitoring the solar array on my iPhone and IPad. Signal is slightly degrade due to stucco wall but more than sufficient signal at the panel compared to before. Very easy to install, just follow the written directions and the app.

This is excellent buy. My internet speed is finally fast now. I love it. Very easy to set up too. I would recommend this buy to anyone. It help my business set up good now Thank you 😊

Amended after contact from customer service- I reached out to the company directly through their support site and I got no response - I left a bad review and low and behold they reached out to me- After the bad node I initially received failed at all of their 'fixes' they had me run - even though I documented that I had tried all of these via the info on their support site - they did ship me out a new replacement node - it has been working ok-ish. The whole mx12 mesh system has been far more hit or miss than the older system they offer - I will experience a whole network reset/or drop every couple days, they don't seem to have the up time I hoped for after my previous experience with their products. Amended at less than three months: Had one node totally die- won’t connect, can’t factory reset, it’s just bricked. Have attempted to contact Tenda via their website and email to no avail- zero customer service and I guess zero warranty service. Original- Had a previous model of their mesh I upgraded from and couldn’t be happier. Excellent signal strength, coverage, and speed. Easy setup, would recommend.
