Isn’t the kettle supposed to sit snug to base ? I just bought a new one today and the kettle is not sitting snug in the base, it is shaking.

Does anyone hear a click even when it is not plugged?

I have a different Kettle but am considering this one because it will accept less water. Mine clicks once after it cools down. Also found this on the web: "When you turn off your electric kettle and remove the water, the element will start to cool. The cooling process will result in the shrinking of an element and that will cause a clicking sound."
