Carli Suspension2014+ Dodge Ram 2500/3500 Front Track Bar

Way better than factory!
This review is for the updated/modded version of the Carli track bar. If you experience steering wander, death wobble, or alignment issues in a Ram 2500 they can probably all be traced back to the track bar. I've dealt with these problems for more than ten years with my truck. I have changed ball joints, tie rod ends, track bars, and installed a steering brace. Eventually, it always came back. A few months ago, I replaced everything (again) EXCEPT the track bar. Guess what? Death wobble remained. This tells me that the #1 cause all along has been the track bar. The minute the bushings wear out in the slightest, the steering issues start. So, about this new bushing-free design:I love it. Made a huge difference. I'm a little worried that it won't absorb impacts as well as the bushing style bars and may lead to damage later, but after a month of use I can say it's the best bar I've had in my Ram 2500 yet. It now handles BETTER than it did the day I drove it off the lot. At the same time I installed this, I upgraded the bolts to the newer, larger style. After drilling the holes a bit larger, I welded washers onto the mounting brackets for extra strength. I'm hoping that together, this will be a permanent fix for a problem that has haunted me for years. I'll come back and update if there are any problems.

Best design I've seen for the Dodge
Best design I've seen for the Dodge at this point. Frame end - Uniball is basically a cartridge style rod end. They carry higher radial load capacity than their rod end counterparts (longer service life). They're replaceable with a pair of snap ring pliers and you don't have to re-adjust/re-measure track bar length when you do so. Axle end - It's a Currie Johnny Joint. Proven track record. Little bit of isolation and again rebuildable with a pair of snap ring pliers without re-adjustment. Johnny Joint is threaded directly into the tube and the Uniball cup is fully welded and gusseted. With a drop bracket (stock length track bar configuration) the Johnny Joint was threaded all the way in and just clocked. Fit like a glove. With 107k on a 6" lifted 2010 Ram 2500 I finally got death wobble... It was progressively hinting at it's intention to do so over the past 10k or so by showing a little bobble when making sweeping turns and hitting expansion joints. I was actually pretty impressed at how long it made it as I bomb down washboard roads with a rock crawler in tow, screw around off-road when I go down to Mexico and daily drive it. Passenger side tie rod had play, so I replaced the entire steering set up with Mopar 52122362AL as I don't want to revisit this for another 107k and I'm replacing $2k in tires this week. This along with the track bar REALLY snugged up the front end. The stock track bar bushings weren't destroyed, cracked, etc... I didn't even see noticeable play when having a friend saw on the wheel while I was watching, BUT the bushing material had clearly softened and did NOT like to be jarred when the track bar was loaded. Long story short, I should have done this 50k ago.

2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins
Replaced my stock track bar after 3” Carli springs. Installation was straightforward and it’s a quality part. Helped cure my death wobble and added a little bling underneath. If you’re having trouble lining up the top frame side, cut the wheel all the way to the left. The bar will slide in and gently pry it in. Piece of cake.

This track bar is much more sturdy than the stock one
Installed this on my truck before the lift, so it was installed with the stock length. This track bar is much more sturdy than the stock one. I had a little trouble getting the holes lined up when putting it in, but nothing unexpected. Since I installed it with stock length, I put the old trackbar up to it and put a bolt through both ends of the two bars. This made sure it was the correct length. Did the whole job with the truck on the floor and using only hand tools in about 1 hr. Very simple upgrade to your trucks suspension.

Fixed wobble so far...
So far so good. If your truck is leveled or lifted, you need to upgrade the track bar. Instantly noticeable difference in ride height and smoothness. If you're lifted with stock track bar, you probably get death wobble. As soon as I installed the Carli track bar, I went to the worst roads I know at speed and not one sign of wobble, bump-steer, nor wheel hop. So far Id say after one hour driving it, this item is worth the money.**Update!! Two weeks later not one shake. Truck actually rides better because this track bar recentered the axle and does not pull down on the stiff factory springs... No more death wobble.

Nice enough, Carli Suspension 2014+ Dodge Ram 2500/3500...
Seems okay, I have that track-bar reinforcement installed on Star recall, and the bolt holes in the bracket are bigger than the OEM POS track bar mount @ the Drivers side. I don't get it, the ACTUAL OEM mount looks like a mock-up, not a factory item. Factory track bar was moving here, but I have this tight,... I think..... OEM install set to the provided length, and still had to adjust the steering wheel a bit, I thought that was odd, now I wonder where the sector shaft really should be if the front axle is where its supposed to be...... I could call Carli I guess......Sure would be sweet if this had some sort of center adjustment that didn't require so much disassembly if on an alignment rack.... Got spoiled by my DT ProFab on my 2001.........

Good product. Installation can be tricky.
Good product thus far. My truck is factory height (no lift). I did have an issue with trying to adjust the track bar short enough for proper alignment. I also drilled the frame with a 16mm step drill bit. The drilling is not recommended for inexperienced. Track bar does come with reducing sleeves to go with the factory bolts but the frame brackets are usually ovalled out so I would expect drilling to be required. Truck has better steering response after installation. You will need a crows foot for torquing the large nut. Overall good product. Tricky installation if modifications are required.

Mac truck quality
Very well-built heavy duty component. Because of the design, uni ball, used on either end with spacer/bushings this actually improved ride on highway. Much better design than factory rubber bushings. As the factory one Binds. This one is able to articulate better Providing a better ride. Absolutely more heavy duty than factory on Ram trucks.
