Good product
The sizing was accurate and adjustable, product quality is top tier, with a low price! My dog doesn’t prefer to have this on because he doesn’t like it around his nose, but it controls him well.

Wow! Walking together!
This turned our GSD's walking challenge into a delightful experience. She's so strong, and pulling made her hard to handle on walks. My husband likes to take her through the neighborhood, where other dogs charging at their fences will trigger her protective instincts. While wearing her Halti, there's little to no reaction. The design and construction are sturdy and worth every cent!

Just what we needed.
This Halti offers good control of our large and very strong rescue dog. It's easy to put on him. It took a little experimentation to get the fit right. It cannot be tight enough to interfere with his ability to pant and breathe. This Halti keeps us both safe, as I have the leverage to control him so he can't pull me down or away when he wants to chase deer. I don't believe it is uncomfortable for him, as he willingly inserts his muzzle into it when we get ready for a walk. It's definitely worth the price. I do advise to NEVER leave this on your dog when you are not walking it. Your dog can get its front feet entangled in it.

To correct canine pulling at leash.
I work with my German shepherd and leash pulling is her bad habit. She is only 2 so still a bit immature. I bought this because my GSD community couldn't stop praising it. It does help but please, just like the reins of a horse. Yanking and tugging DO NOT HELP it only makes matters worse. Use gentle guidance. Just relax and eventually your furry companion will too. Think that when you are holding the leash it is made of dry twigs, if you use a heavy hand you'll mess up your dog and make walking your dog as big a chore as it was before the device. Also, you could severely injure your dogs neck by yanking or pulling. Worst case scenario, simply stop walking. If you aren't moving forward, your dog isn't likely to do so. Walkies are supposed to be enjoyable for you and your dog both. This item is well built. An added bonus to the head harness is an added strip of reflective material. It gets bright when only a little light hits it. Sewing looks good, release is a little too stiff but that will change with use. I love both the principle behind this idea and love the construction. However, it got rated 3 stars because instead of instructions, you get a YouTube video. I shouldn't have to do that. I like instructions, I can read, can't type but hey, I'm retired. Sod that nonsense. C'mon, y'all can afford offset photographic printing for advertising your products but can't even insert a letter size instruction sheet ? That cost ya this time

Very effective, but straps slip too easily
This has been a HUGE help in getting my dog to stop pulling. She is an 80lb pitbull puppy who is clearly mixed with some kind of hound. My pittie-mix would stop multiple times on a walk, sometimes multiple times within a few yards, sometimes planting her feet and refusing to move. While it was a great upper body workout for me, dragging 80 lbs for a mile or two is not much fun. The head harness has really changed that and is giving her a clearer idea of what I want. I love the limited-slip design which means if she's not pulling, the harness is loose and comfortable. This draws a clear line between good walking behavior and bad walking habits. She is so much better and we now have fun on our walks. I took off a star because the strap fabric is too slick. I tried to use the harness to keep her from jumping on someone. With just a little resistance, she was able to loosen up the straps and escape the harness. Luckily, her main control comes from a body harness. But still.. yikes! I'm going to tack down the strap with needle and thread. But beware if you plan on this being your only control method for your dog.

Worked Instantly!
I have a very energetic doghter! She’s a spunky, 16 month old Labrador Retriever who loves to take ME on walks. I had tried so many different tools to stop her from pulling on her leash and they all failed. She would pull until she started coughing yet still persisted! I did some research via ChatGPT and it suggested this head collar. While she tried to take it off a couple of times, she adapted to it quickly. She instantly did a proper loose leash walk, looking back every couple of steps and never pulling. Redirecting her was so simple! I am truly amazed! We’ve only gone on one short walk with this to keep the experience positive, but I have high hopes this is the game changer we needed to keep her focused while training.

Great!
Works great! I have a 35 lb Malinois/Shepherd (6 months) and she quit pulling. It does work! I'd advise getting a size 2.... (For 5-6 month old pup). I'm gonna order a 2. The size 3 I ordered is a bit too big.

I’ve used Halters before on previous dogs, however it’s been a generation since I needed one. With my current Labrador puppy, I really persevered working on loose lead walking and in theory he ‘got’ it, but he was also all over the place whenever he was stimulated in the least, we also had issues with him scavenging anything he could off the ground in front of us. The vet nurse in me shuddered every time I had to pull a gumnut out of his mouth as I mentally reviewed his insurance in case of intestinal blockage and surgery. Finally, at 9 months old when we got to the point I was actually dreading walking him, I put him in a halti. Absolutely the BEST decision. Now my boy strolls along beside me, occasionally turning to sniff or watch something quite happily then return his attention to where we’re going. He’s aware of me most of the time, our groundwork stood us in good stead & I usually just need to stop walking for him to stop moving ahead of me, but the big difference is that when I do occasionally need to redirect him, he actually listens. Now our walks are pleasurable, he wags his tail constantly & watches up at me occasionally looking for approval, I enjoy our camaraderie, and we get many compliments on what a lovely dog he is as he shows off his delight in being a good boy when people pass us. This is not a replacement for training, nor should it ever be used forcefully, but when used appropriately it is a game changer. I’m finally feeling bonded with my lovely dog, and giving him the happiness he deserves. We’re even learning hand signals for his commands, and venturing to busy areas such as shopping centres (outside) to work on his reactivity under heavy stimulation, all very successfully. Finally we’re set up for success and I couldn’t be happier. PS the lead is fabulous too, soft and a great length, love how adjustable it is

The Halti gentle leader and training lead have helped me train my 51kg dog to stop pulling, it's been a lifesaver! I thoroughly recommend the Halti for dogs who pull, it can take time for dogs to become used to wearing them but it's a worthwhile investment. Check the size charts as I have noticed that the gentle leader sizes are a little smaller when choosing a colour as opposed to black. Both the gentle leader and lead are very durable, no signs of wear and tear. They're both easily washable. The gentle leader has a soft padding on the nose therefore, we have not experienced any issues with rubbing and the lead is also very comfortable and soft in hand. Definitely recommend.
