Review: Good Motor - This motor is not very fast nor strong. It is for my son and his Sevylor fish hunter boat. It is manageable for him and it allows him to learn about boating in a safe way.
Review: Great for the intended use. - My only gripe and it is small - not a shred of instructions in or on the box. Strange for an electrical device. It is not very powerful, but works a long time on a small battery so perfect for a small inflatable or (in my case) a fishing kayak. The rod mount drops right on the rudder bracket on my kayak, and I rigged a simple bell-crank to the shaft to connect my rudder pedals.

**Q: says that I can adapt this engine to any inflatable without a saddle, where I can see the instructions to install this engine in the boat?**
A: This will work on any inflatable boat with a "motor mount" board (or wood boat with a solid wall) where it slides over the top of that board and the screws clamp it to it.  To see some instructions, go to watersnakeusa website and look at the ASP motor manual (which is virtually the same as this).  This will also work on a few of the Sevylor boats that have some special connection points on the front or back of the boat, but only those few can do that (so I don't think the "I can adapt this to ANY inflatable without a saddle" statement is correct).

**Q: can it be use in salt water?? on a sevylor fish hunter 6-person**
A: yes

**Q: Does this motor have a battery with it or do you have to buy that separate?**
A: The battery is separate and the wires you see in the picture are for connecting to it.

**Q: it is good for salt water**
A: This is not labeled for salt water, but the "Watersnake" T18S is virtually the same thing and is labeled as good for salt-water (which I've seen going for less than this).  It may not be available here, but other venders have it.  There's also the Watersnake T24S which is 24 lbs thrust versus 18 for slightly higher price than the T18 (but again even less than this).
