Would recommend something that sets quickly to prevent movement. Wouldn’t recommend nailing even with sealant no hole in the roof is a good hole. I have not tried this but seams feasible! **Q: can double sided tape be used to mount them?** A: SOME double sided tape would work - depending on the surface that the spikes were mounted to. It would have to be very strong tape and the surface would have to be pretty smooth. I just mounted mine on a cement block wall. Mounting tape would not work in that application - unless there is a tape out there stronger than the ones I've seen. **Q: How do you attach a strip of spikes to a composition roof ridge?** A: I would think contact cement would work. **Q: Will these keep geese off lawn?** A: Bird spikes are not - cannot - be installed on a lawn. We ordered a lot of them to cover the rafters of our open car port. My daughter and I watched a movie while we put them together and then, my husband spent a couple hours placing/installing them, but it was so worth it.
