Multipurpose headphones with built-in microphone. Review: Full details and spec provided - This item requires 48v phantom power. That spec is provided in the product description, on the Behringer site, or in the provided documentation. When phantom power is added the device has very low gain (pickup) and the signal is extremely noisy. Rule out: this is true of both units I purchased. True on 2 separate mixers. 3rd, unique device works as expected. Price should be the leading indicator of the quality and intended audience of this device. Review: Don't buy - I just got these today and they are being returned today. Something must be wrong because it was nothing but hiss when you connect the XLR. Yes you need to use phantom power but they record low because the hiss drowns out the recording. If you want just headphones they work fine but forget about using the mic.

Don't waste your money.
This headset was a steal at $35. However it's a prime example of you get what you pay for. First thing, if you don't have phantom power, don't even bother. You have to use that in order to get it to work. Secondly, if you do use phantom power, you will never be able to hear yourself while using it. The static hiss is absolutely insane. There was nothing I could do to minimize the hiss. It literally drowns out any other input into your board. If you plan to use just the headphone part of it, then it's ok but it completely defeats the purpose of buying these.

Please note this headset requires 48v Phantom Power. This was not expressed anywhere in the Behringer documentation. Additionally, the XLR connections are poorly soldered and are making poor connection out of the box. The sound quality is okay, but poor compared to much more expensive headphones. I am comparing the audio quality to Audio Technica ATM40x. The overall build quality of the headset feels good and is comfortable to wear, it does compress a bit, but the structure is made of medal and could easily be bent out a bit and will likely relax in time. The Microphone arm does not pivot, it is fixed and cannot be flipped to accommodate left or right side, however the arm is quite flexible and can easily be positioned to sound good. Microphone quality fine good for speech. I have not tried yet to adapt to TRRS and see if the microphone can be powered by BIAS power. ***EDIT!*** The microphone capsule can be adapted to TRRS and will function with 3-5v of BIAS power (Plug-In Power). ***EDIT!*** The boom arm started to loosen and I have reinforced it internally with super glue. I'm still happy with this headset, but if I wasn't handy with a soldering iron I would be upset.

The lows were very low. You have to squeeze the headphones into your brain to here any bass. Mids and highs were very balanced though. Not impressed with the way I received this product. Box was torn and it looked like it was a repack. I’m sending this product back.

The mic does not seem to o be effective while using on laptops. The listeners often complain that they are not able to hear properly at the other end.
