A beautiful book; excellent quality all round with beautiful paper, illustrations and writing. Each page is a wonderful little snippet of a part of nature and it has a nice balance between the not having too much information but enough for kids (and adults) to enrich their knowledge and love for the things in nature we take for granted. I’m learning many new things myself and look forward to reading this with my kids before we explore more outdoors as the spring comes in. We found some fish eggs in the local lake and I came home to find a page on it in the book :) A nice way to bring nature to life and develop a love and understanding of it with our children. Would definitely recommend

This is one of the most beautiful children’s books I have ever bought or read to my sons. I bought it after reading a rave review on a parenting blog, Babyccino. I love how it explains each ‘story’ simply yet properly, using easy to understand yet correct terminology. It’s clear enough for a 5yo to understand but also relevant for older children. The diagrams and illustrations are stunning. We use ours both as a bedtime story book and to look up things for school and when questions arrive about nature in general.

Such a beautiful book, my son loves interesting nature facts and asking questions to stall bedtime and this book ticks both those requirements for him. I’ve also learnt a few things too. The illustrations are lovely and each snippet only covers a double page spread.

This is an absolutely beautiful book. Wonderfully written , not too wordy but still very informative! I bought it to read to my 3 granddaughters ( and any future grandchildren!) and I am sure they will love it!

This might be the most wonderful children’s book we have & we have many. The illustrations are beautiful. The words & sweet & I know we are going to have so, so much fun together with this book 🥰

Beautiful book . My grandchildren adore it . Just enough in the two pages to take in before you lose concentration ( 3 year old ) just enough information to take in (6 year old ) enough information not to be babyish 8 year old ! Beautifully illustrated . It’s so so beautiful

This was on my wishlist for a long time and I finally ordered it for Christmas. We love this book, it appeals to both my 3 and 6 year old and is easy to dip into and discover new things about the natural world around us. Beautiful illustrations and feels like a special book.

I bought this book with no-one in mind. I don't have grandchildren yet however its so delightful I have put away in the memory box so when the day comes I can pass it to them. Its simply beautiful makes you stop and think and the illustrations are divine, every child should have this book. although as an adult I can't bare to part with it either!
