Slider Edge Pastel XB (Extra Broad) Ballpoint Pen, 1.4 mm, Light Blue Barrel, Assorted Ink Colors, Adjustable Case Stand of 8 Pens (152289)

Ok. I expected to like these a lot, because I used one of their ballpoints once, when I borrowed it from a visitor from Denmark. Subsequently, I bought blue ink and green ink pens (ballpoints, I think?) and liked using them as often as possible, for their comfort and smooth line. So, that is what I expected from these pens. Fair guess, yes? Fair, but ****wildly inaccurate**** guess, is closer to the truth! These pens are works of art with a beautifully executed and functional design!!!! Pastel ink colors with an extra broad point and they flow like SILK. The smoothest writing experience I have ever had! (Even Gelly Roll gel pens are not this smooth—and that is saying something, because Gelly Roll gel pens are famous for their smooth flow.) The colors are unique and coordinate well with the Pastel Job Highlighter set. [NOTE: The photo of the test lines is close to true to color, but not precisely true. I am not camera savvy enough to know how to fix that.] So, ok, spectacular design, a pleasure to write with. These are lovely attributes. But, there are more! The package swivels and becomes a stable pen stand! It *also* has a sturdy, built-in, loop for hanging! The loop can twist down behind the case, as well. The packaging is both utile and environmentally sensitive. Just a non-plasticized cardboard wrapper, holding the pens and case/stand together for shipping. And, as a bonus, the label states that the pens are carbon neutral! Schneider’s page states that it is a family company. Love, joy, and commitment to value and values are evident in this product! Cannot recommend highly enough. Truly outstanding!

These pens are all smooth, skip-free, and blob-less. I HATE pens that leave smeary blobs everywhere and these pens have never done that. I decided to start sketching in pen more and wanted to have multiple colors to chose from. I knew Schneider would be a good brand because I have a Slider Memo XB I bought a few years ago, and always had a good time sketching with that one. These pens respond well to variances in pressure; you get a nice light, smooth line with a feather touch and a bold one with normal pressure. I got my set for about $12, definitely worth the money. The packaging doubles as a little stand so you can keep them more organized on your desktop if you want. The color variety works well for me, the green is not quite as light as the barrel makes it seem, which is good. It's more of a lime green than emerald. I fully expect these pens will perform consistently over their lifespan, because my first one did. It never leaked, smeared, skipped, or wore out, until it was out of ink. I think Schneider makes GREAT ballpoint pens!

These pens are some of the best I've ever used. They write very smoothly and evenly. I do wish they had a clip, or were a click pen so you don't have to worry about a cap, but that's a very minor thing considering the quality of the pen. The triangle shape is great for writing and comfortable to hold.

So thankful I can buy these pens in the US! First saw them in Germany and fell in love! It’s a natural fit, glides smooth on paper and comes in so many different colors! You gotta try it!

I’ve always loved these pens so it was really hard to not give a 5 star rating. Cute little caddy but I’m the type to just spead the pens all around and literally have only 2 left in the caddy. They’re a wider imprint than most pens and the triangle shame fits better for me personally. Strongly recommend

They write smooth, but I wouldn't consider them extra broad - more like medium. But I do like them and already ordered more. Love the violet ink!!

I first came across these pens when working in a school, where the teachers wanted pens that glide across the paper and are nice to use for all that marking. I loved them and decided to order some of my own to use at home
