When Mica Scott moved into a quiet Chicago suburb, she wasnโt ready for what she found. Her new neighbor is bossy, kinda scary, and defines hotness. Sure, heโs a hunky alpha male, the kind most women secretly long for, but the man oozes danger. And Mica isnโt most women. After a chance encounter brings a new man to her door, Mica struggles to find a path between what she wants, and what she needs. Mica was raised on a ranch in Northeast Texas. Life was hard, but not impossibleโฆuntil she met her own personal nightmare one night at a rodeo. She escaped his abuse by putting things behind her, isolating herself from vulnerable friends and family by moving to Chicago for college and work. Davis Mason is the hard-living president of the Rebel Wayfarers MC , a motorcycle club operating out of Chicago. With just one encounter, he becomes determined to keep Mica safeโฆwhether she wants him to or not. He will use every resource at his disposal to manage Mica and her safety, while keeping himself from taking the one thing he really wantsโฆher. Daniel Rupert is a successful businessman. He owns a trucking company and a hockey team, for which he is the star forward. Meeting Mica and Mason when he helped foil an attempt on her life, he began working jointly with Mason in an effort to keep her safe. But unlike Mason, Daniel is not satisfied with a platonic relationship. He carefully maneuvers himself into Micaโs life, and he only wantsโฆeverything.Events escalate and Micaโs very life hangs in the balance as old threats resurface while the men in her life scramble to keep her alive. *Please note this book is part of the Rebel Wayfarers MC book series, featuring characters from additional books in the series. If the books are read out of order, youโll twig to spoilers for the other books, so going back to read the skipped titles wonโt have the same angsty reveals. I strongly recommend you read them in order. Available now: Mica (book #1), Slate (book #2), Bear (book #3), Jase (book #4), Gunny (book #5), Mason (book #6), Hoss (book #7), Duck (book #8), and Watcher (book #9), Bones (book #10), and Fury (book #11). Upcoming titles in the series include Cassie (book #12). Review: Amazing story! I can't wait to read more in the series!! - This story has a little bit of everything in it. There's a little bit of sports, twists and turns, love, family, and someone trying to forget their past. I laughed, cried, and hated some characters for at least a little bit of the story. Mica tries to get away from her past. She gets help to start a new life and she takes it. Unfortunately, some hints don't change. She meets two men through her life's journey. One she falls in love with and one she loves as a friend. Mica is strong willed, courageous, afraid, and doesn't have confidence because of her past. Once she realizes that she doesn't have to handle everything on her own, Mica begins to flourish and find herself. This story deals with a few forms of abuse, and the author did an amazing job with her writing of these parts. Not only when the abuse occurred but how the characters felt and handled the situation. These are the parts where I cried, knowing exactly what the character was going through. What makes this story truly amazing is that you see a portrayal of individuals choosing their own family and doing everything they can to help and protect one another. They go so far as to put their happiness aside to ensure that other they love are happy, protected, and loved unconditionally. If you haven't read this book, then you are missing out on an amazing read. I fell in love with the characters and I want more. You will not regret buying this book! I would recommend it to anyone! Review: A good one for biker romance and sports romance readers alike - I picked up this book because of my love for biker romances and also because it was a recommended series on a blog of the best MC books to read. It started out good (although all the flashbacks became confusing and made me lose focus after a while) but I had a really hard time with the whole hockey player storyline once that was introduced. The two men vying for Mica's attention and love (in apparently different ways) BOTH wanted her desperately and she was a wishy-washy woman caught between them with emotionally disturbing consequences. Yes, the story was very different and introduced a lot of interesting characters who will be dealt with in future books, but at times I found it to be too much...and without spoiling the story for those who have not read it, there are many "triggers" that some readers will hate and to be honest, Mica did not end up with the man I felt deserved to be with her. Read this one if you think mixing sports with MC would be fun for you...I personally didn't love it but the majority of the rest of the story made up for it. **** 3.5 **** "she's their treasure and his property" stars

A different way to look at a MC club.. great read
This isn't the typical love story, specially since it involves a MC club that takes care of business. Mica just happens to become club business. Mica has been broken, abused and brutally raped by her father, then suffers further abuse by her brother and boyfriend. She runs from the ranch in Texas and ends up in the care and custody of some of the most awesome bikers ever written about. I've lived the life of a biker chick, I know that there are really men out there who live the life thats written about in this book. It is so well written, realistic and filled with love. Lots of twists and turns, love that abounds. But I didn't like the way it ended, I'm not going to spoil it but I wish it had ended differently. I also think that Mica should have been less of a friends with benefits sometimes. Just my thoughts. Overall I love the storyline, I read the second book in this series and will wait for the third to be published later this year. Worth the time to read if you like bikers, and who doesn't?

WOW!!!
This book was great. It was an emotional story about love, friendship and being part of an MC family that love you unconditionally. I loved this book because it made me step out of my comfort zone, walk around in the characters shoes and live their lives with them. It was not all hearts and flowers and some very traumatic scenes that were graphic but not enough to stop me from going on. There were some lovable characters that made me laugh and made me wish they were real. This book was definitely not a hardcore MC read. There were no biker bitches, drugs or gambling. The 'prez' wanted to protect Mica from club stuff. I nearly took away one star for the confusion in the first 20% off the book, but I gave it back because of my overall enjoyment. I really enjoyed this book and I will definitely be reading more from this author. Heading straight to buy Slate's book now.

Disappointing
The writer is good and I enjoyed the first part of the story but then she writer brings in another man and I lost all interest. I did not finish reading it . I like the first guy mason. When I realize mica ends up with the hockey player i did not want t to read anymore.I have 3star's because this writer has talent but she ruined the story by introducing another man as the lead.

Smart AND sexy - perfect combo!
This isn't just your everyday, light reading, romance novel. "Mica" is one steamy, smart, intriguing, well-written novel with some real substance. The story line and character creation are creative, edgy - "Mica" kept me guessing as to how this story would end. You will be introduced to a lot of characters, which sometimes can bog down a series like this, but fortunately, Ms. deMora does an excellent job of giving just enough information to keep the story line going while captivating you enough to look forward to more about the characters in upcoming (hopefully!) novels. It's also very evident that she's done her research in the areas that "Mica" touches upon - you've got in-depth info about bikers, hockey, technology - details that avid readers will appreciate and give the story depth. If you're looking for something along the caliber of Fifty Shades - a really great story to go with some hot erotica - this is one you will enjoy.

Spoiler of ending in someone else's review...watch out reading them
I really wanted to read this book....as I had just finished another of her books....and LOVED it...I didn't because I read a review that in the first sentence told me the ending.....I thought just read it anyway.....Yet in the first sentence of the book....as the characters begin their dance.....I already knew....the outcome......I don't understand why people would spoil the book for everyone else...I thought reviews were different than book reports.....If you want to talk about the book in a way that gives it away to everyone else go to the authors page and write spoiler alert....or even on the Amazon reviews....write spoiler alert.....I read a book for the suspense of the story....there is no suspense if someone tells you the results before you even open the book.....I gave it 4 stars because I love her writing style and how she builds her characters from another of her books I just read...In search of Solice.....it made me come to this page to start the beginning of her reading list.....I'll have to wait a while to get over my

Awesome!!!!!
I usually doesn't read new author book unless it's an exchange with another reader. I accidentally stumble onto this one and it's awesome. This author captured every emotions that could be provided between each character. The writing is unique and flows gracefully into the lives of Mason and Mica which reveal the tragic and horrific events that occurred. The book started out slow but was worth the read. The love that Mason felt in his heart for Mica was dynamic yet profound as well. It's a shame that Mason had so much love for Mica and see someone else walk away with her although I like Daniel, I wanted Mason to keep her. I hope to read more about Daniel and Mica relationship in future books. Great job to this author and I will be looking forward to reading another one.

Stick With It
I originally found the RWMC series through reading an other author called Lila Rose's series Hawk's MC (I also live in Ballarat). I initially thought it was a bit confusing at the start and found it hard to get into, but I stuck with and enjoyed the over all story in the end. My only issue is I found the author jumped around a lot, and the paragraphs weren't set out clearly compared to others ive read.

MC? What MC?!
If I could 0 stars I would! This has to be one of the worst books I've ever read & up till now I thought I'd read a lot of bad stuff! The men in this book are pathetic saps & as for the Prez of the MC? Well wet blanket is the nicest description I can write on here & trust me there's a LOT more awesomely descriptive names that come to mind but they'd all be censored out so wet blanket will have to do for now!!! Honestly avoid this book unless you want to be hours ranting at the stupidity of the situations & people!!!
