Can you pore water over this statue?

I used a q-tip to clean mine. It was a bit dusty. The gold paint seems to be well adheard to the statue but I wouldn't try it. I know the Egyptians would bathe them daily then annoint and dress them but maybe sprinkling a few drops over the head shouldn't hurt Her. Someone else said the paint was coming off of an Osiris statue by the same maker.
