Bifen KILLS CHINCH BUGS!!! This product is fantastic at killing Chinch Bugs! This is the 2nd time I've ordered this product, and I use it to treat my Saint Augustine grass 2-3 times annually (set your calendar and be proactive... don't wait until you see bugs!). Unlike most of the big-box products, I love that it has a texture is somewhat granular, similar to sand. It will not create a dust-cloud when you apply it. I use a hand-crank spreader, and it lands exactly where I aim, and slowly erodes into the soil for several weeks... so it doesn't wash-out after a heavy rain. It also seems to kill grubs which has reduced moles in my yard too.

Works very well on fire ants & red ants in S. Georgia. Sprinkle on top of bed-sure and cover the entire bed. Leave it and come back in 24 to 36 hours. IF you did NOT kill the entire bed you will see dead ants piled up on the edge of the bed. Just repeat and repeat what you did the first time.

This stuff is legit, affordable, and it just works. It is a professional grade product that is affordable to regular consumers. It is very effective on ants, mole crickets, ticks, and many other critters. Tell ya momma, ya aunty, and that uncle that used to touch ya, that they need to grab a bag! I had a millipede infestation, especially around, and in my pool. I spread this around last night, today 1000s and 1000s of dead millipedes and wood roaches. This stuff works! I still have 3/4 of a bag, so another preventative treatment on the next day when no rain is predicted, and will use again if/when needed. Will also use for any ant beds that pop up during the spring/summer. Very pleased with effectiveness of product so far, and $40 is cheap to prevent me from having to run my pool vac 3x a day and clean the pool every morning. UPDATE: One thing to add, which I have not seen mentioned here. I would not use a blanket statement that it is "safe for mammals." Bifen L/P is classified as a Pyrethroid, and those are not safe for cats. They lack the necessary enzyme to break it down. We have a part-time outdoor cat, so we plan on keeping her inside after the next big rain and any further treatments. If you have any concerns, the product safety sheet can be downloaded online using a simple search. As always, use PPE when handling and dispersing. UPDATE: Although the product does work, it is not a total solution for millipede infestation. After a few days the millipedes returned, and using more of the product did not stop them. Neither did the Hoke Defense spray. They are relentless. Hoping the Gentrol IGR the pest company used will end the cycle.

Bifen definitely works and create a barrier around your yard. Set your spreader to put down correct amount and activate with water. I have 10k sqft. yard, that's about 3/4 of this bag once, in a season. An ant mound will show up at the curb once or twice, which means they're staying out my yard. I disturb the mound, sprinkle 1/4 cup of Bifen, and activate with water. The mound disappears forever. My yard CAN be an ant haven so Bifin is a must. I DIDN'T know it could be used in my flowerbeds. So, I'll start using it there as well. I notice the ants hanging around my flowerbeds, and occasionally come onto my porch, which I keep terro spray so I can sit comfortably without checking under my feet all spring and summer. I'm excited to see how it'll work in my flowerbeds. I initially read not to use it there or around pets, but it's never offended my neighbors dog, who hangs out in my yard..lol. However, I'm now reading it's safe. Give a try!
