Once you are comfortable with the shade that you put on it looks beautiful looks like a very natural tan and I wear it all year long **Q: What color is the lotion? is it white or brown? does this replace the sublime bronze self-tanning milk?** A: The lotion in the tub is a bronze color. When it is rubbed into the skin it does not look tan at first but in a few hours the skin is bronzed as advertised. The lotion in the tube is not white. If you know how to use self tanner this product works great. It does have a sparkle the first day so if that bothers you make sure your applying it before bed. They also make a spray that I use in the summer on the rest of my body lightly so I don't look so pale. As far as the smell of a tanner , it has that smell the first day or two.
