More about looks than functionality
I was really hoping that these rings were functional as well as 'old' looking for a 'vintage' recipe book I made for my niece. These rings look perfect, exactly what I wanted, but, looks are all they had. Four rings I couldn't even open. Two rings opened, finally, but sliced my fingers the edges were so sharp. I didn't bother with the other four. All went into the garbage, got regular shiny rings, distressed them with distress paint (black soot), and they look great! Hopefully, the problems will be fixed, until then, I'll distress and age my own.

Much Better Than the Wire Rings!
I had originally bought the wire rings by this company that you have to unscrew each time, and I hated them. However, I couldn't really find another product like it and needed more, so I looked for them to reorder when I ran out. I couldn't find the exact same item, but saw these solid rings instead. Much better and easier to use! So far, I have no complaints. Very glad I couldn't find the wire rings again...
