Awesome Rain Barrels!
These are really nice units and a very good price. The flat back allows you to get it closer to the walls and the screened top keeps the leaves and critters out of the barrel. This comes complete with a screw in valve and even teflon tape. These look great and are high quality. I bought 2 to start and will buy 2 more when they are back in stock.

Good product
I got one about 6 months ago and it works great. Fills up way faster than I thought it would. I'm gonna buy 2 more shortly and connect them all together. I want 10 total. I'm gonna add a pump to the spigot to give it pressure for my sprinklers. I think I'm gonna add a little rolled up copper to the inside of each one to keep the fungus and algae down. But anyways, it's a good rain barrel

Rain for your plants.
Fair price for this water collecting rain barrel product. Easy assembly.

Grill holes too small.
Nice but I had to change out the grill that comes with it with something made of screen. Water would not flow fast enough to keep up because the holes are too small on the grill that comes with it.

Close enough to perfect
If I could give it 4.7 stars I would, so I rounded up because because while the “issues” don’t bother me much, they might bother some. The filter screen thing needed to be trimmed to sit flush, not a big deal with very sharp kitchen scissors. Over time these screens warped in the sun so I needed to add several more stainless screws. The flat back of the barrel doesn’t stay flat when the barrels are full, but at least in my case you don’t see that except if you’re looking for it. The spigot included was janky, but I expected that after reading reviews and I got some brass ones before I even received these barrels— if they included no spigot and didn’t change the price I still think it would be a fair price. Overall way less work than drilling out those big blue barrels and building a setup yourself, and the black color looks way nicer (even with the slight warping). Functions wonderfully, I wish I had done this way sooner. Might add several more around the property.

Had 1 for year and now 3 title this is worth it.
Have 3 had one over a year well made does weather. Catch rain well and install solar drip pump on it line goes in screen. Drains be put on hand tight light empty doesn't blow over best looking and well made. No rust or weather aging in year still looks brand new.

Very disappointed!
I was really excited to get this because it was such a great deal, but you get what you pay for. #1 Even though it does say it in the description, it was not clear to me that this was a FLAT BACK barrel, not totally round. #2 The instructions provided are for several different barrels, and there are missing steps for this particular barrel. #3 Once assembled, there is no way to get INTO the barrel in case you need to fish something out because the barrel is essentially fully sealed, excepting a long narrow opening in the top that has a screen screwed into it. #4 The screen that is affixed over the opening in the top was warped and didn't fit the recess it was supposed to screw into, so I had to drill additional holes to get it to lay flat. #5 There is an overflow hole near the top that is badly drilled and doesn't fit any conventional hardware to be able to attach a hose in order to either link it to another barrel or redirect the water overflow, so the water just pours out onto the surface where the barrel sits (e.g., all over the deck!). #6 The faucet doesn't tightly fit into its receiving hole unless its upside down, so IT LEAKS. Now I will have to empty the barrel to hopefully add a washer to try to stave off this additional flow of water. I had high hopes for this barrel, but it failed miserably.

Not functioning very well
To solve a gutter overflow issue we cut a new opening at the other end and installed a second rain chain and rain barrel. We've had the first rain chain and barrel for several years and love them. After we got it installed, we had perfect weather for a week and no rain. I was eager to see it in action. Well today I got my wish, and I'm disappointed. I had purchased the black barrel, which was $90 here a few weeks ago. Less than the other colors. But it did come with the very cheap, plastic faucet. A hose wouldn't attach to it. So I went out and spent close to $5 for a brass faucet. OK. Thought things would be fine. I tested the barrel by filling it up above the faucet and the water came out, but pretty much a weak trickle. The cheap plastic screen that came with it had such tiny holes, I didn't know how it would allow much water in without a big overflow. So I cut a new screen with some wire screen I already had. That worked fine. But, today, with pretty heavy rain, the barrel filled well (thanks to the bigger screening) and it did bow out a bit in the back (not a problem). The big issue is the overflow opening in the front. It is very small and not threaded. There is no way to properly connect a hose or tube to it to direct overflow away from the barrel. At first it was really concerning, because the way the overflow water was flowing down the front, it looked like a cross seam in the barrel might have split and it was leaking from there, too. Thankfully, that was not the problem. I tried a couple different pieces of cut plastic hose I had to stick in the hole. The water didn't run through it, but at least it deflected the flow a little more outward and I put a watering can in front to catch it. The big issue in a heavy rain is, I don't want a huge puddle collecting near the house from the overflow. After 25 years, I don't need my basement to start getting wet! My other rain barrel has a side outlet with PVC pipe coming out of it, that we can direct the water to a downspout deflector and away from the house. They think they are doing you a favor by having the overflow hole in the front, but it still creates a huge pool of water at the base of the rain barrel. I tried opening the faucet and letting the excess run out the attached hose and over to the grass, but it barely came out at a trickle. First a bad faucet, then a poorly designed screen, and now this overflow situation makes this barrel not a good solution for us. At least I paid under $100 for it. The other colors can be much more. I had looked at every rain barrel out there before choosing this one. But I should have just purchased a second Tijeras rain barrel in the first place. I had thought this was going to be a little better looking in the location I was putting it. My first barrel is in a flower bed and is almost completely hidden by my hydrangea bush, but this one goes on the pavers and is more exposed. I'm adding a couple photos - one before I tried the hose trick in the overflow opening, and one of the wire screen I cut to replace the lousy plastic one. I do love my rain chains. They are great with rain barrels.

So far so good!
I bought this product about a month ago and I love it. Firstly, the price was reasonable, secondly it's well made. Thirdly it really looks cute. I like the flat back that sits snuggled to the house. I've only had it about a month so I can't speak for durability but my first impressions are good!

Nice rain barrel.
Super easy to set up compared to other rain barrels I have bought in the past past. The top screen could have some guide holes pre drilled to make installation easier, otherwise it would be an easy 5 stars.

Good for the price
The seams are messy but as long as they hold, then this is good. At first I thought the top came dented but soon realized what a dummy I am because the "dent" was on purpose so the rain water leads into the vented hole lol. Good for the price and looks nicer than a regular plastic barrel and fits nicely against a building. Prices for nice barrels like this one in the stores tend to be much higher so I give this 5 stars.

Good quality for the money
The first one that I bought lasted three years, no issues and then the third winter I stored outside and even though I had the valve open water filled up inside froze and split the side. I bought two more and won’t leave it outside exposed in the winter again.
