Sono fatti in Italia! (Yes - these are made in Italy! :-) **Q: Can they go in the microwave (w/o metal, of course)?** A: Yes, with the handle detached. Several Bormioli products are made with borosilicate glass which has a very low coefficient of thermal expansion, and so are microwave safe. These coffee cups are made with glass described as "tempered". Not sure if it's borosilicate. But its microwave safe. **Q: I can't tell by the picture, but it's this a Frosted Glass or is it completely clear?** A: Hi, they are completely clear.... the handle is stainless steel and removable -- you have to remove, of course, to warm up your coffee in the microwave, but for me that has not been a problem. I usually drink the full cup and call it a day! **Q: where can I find a silver saucer to go with these** A: I am afraid I have no idea. However I should mention that these cups were never intended to be used with a saucer. Had the designer intended that they should, he would have designed a suitable saucer to match. I believe that the designer's intention was that they were to to be used without saucers as a casual but very smart way of drinking an espresso. Why spoil something that can stand on it's own as a very desirable, useful and beautiful object. If you would like a more formal espresso cup with saucer may I suggest that you look at the platignum band/white range of porcelain china made by the German company "Thomas". So, I replaced it and he is a happy camper. He says these little glasses remind him of when he lived in Spain.
