Review: should I buy them? - I heitated to buy these because (a) they had a long wait time and I 'needed' prime delivery and (b) they were so much cheaper than the others listed - usually I find there's a reason why stuff is expensive! Anyway, I bought a single banneton (an inch wider) from another supplier (that was just over double the cost of these two - as I could get 'immediate' delivery and it got good reviews) and then I went back and ordered these as well, which I had to wait several weeks for. At first, like another reviewer who gave them a one star review, I thought I'd been conned as a parcel arrived with only the liners. I waited a few days in case the baskets turned up (they didn't) and my order was marked as 'delivered'. Rather stupidly, I had thrown away the packaging (coz coronavirus) and washed the linen liners at 90 centigrade. I emailed the supplier who asked a few questions (I really should have kept the packaging) and re-sent the baskets which I got a week or so later, so I couldn't be happier with the supplier's prompt response and the resolution. So what is the quality like? The liners are identical to my expensive banneton in terms of fabric quality, thickness and colour. They are perfectly adequate. Not that I use any of them - as the whole point of a banneton is to get a coiled pattern on the dough and you won't do that with a liner; if you don't want the pattern, why bother to buy a banneton - it's a lot easier to use a ceramic bowl to prove the dough! In terms of basket quality, yes my expensive banneton is better made (pins and splices are less obvious) but these cheap ones are robust enough to last for many uses. I haven't got any splintery bits but if they develop, at this price, I will just peel them off. At the end of the day, the quality of your bread dough is going to matter a lot more than what you prove it in. Neither my expensive nor these cheap bannetons look as if they will fall apart any time soon. I'm not exactly a heavy duty bread maker (I've been making one loaf every 3 days in the last 4 months) but I hope this review helps!

I said send remainder of advertised items. After further complaint was offered 50% refund. I declined and requested either fulfill order as advertised or 100% refund and if they wanted items returned it would be at their expense. Then got full refund. Avoid company at all costs.
