Good cable for your car cover. Lock can use an upgrade.
Cable and loop are plastic coated and will not scratch your car when removing the cover. The master lock provided is flimsy but works until i can replace it with a different one.

Nice cable lock, but....
This is a nice, thick cable compared to what came with my mom's car cover (generic sedan cover). Only problem is the end that is supposed to go through the grommet on the cover is way to big. This lock would not fit many universal car covers due to this. While this is an issue with the cover manufacturer as the grommets are way to small, thus you get a very thin cable with it, Master Lock needs to make a more universal size for the car covers that are on the market. For that reason I took 2 stars off, because now I have to take the time to return a non-universal item. Should not be advertised as being suitable for a car cover. Would have been better to advertise it as a generic cable lock.

Has a very basic lock, quite lame really. Eventually replaced it with a proper silicone jacketed padlock. The worst aspect is the length, it's only just long enough for an E46 coupe. An extra foot would have been ideal so I can tuck the lock under the car capturing the cable and it's hidden from view like I can on my other cable. I wish I could remember what the other cable was ...
