No damage to any upholstered parts. It took about 2 hours to assemble by one person. Make sure to adjust the level to all legs as your floors might not be straight before attaching slats to the bed frame. My 12 year old daughter, who selected it as her birthday present is very happy with it. The lounge is very comfortable for her and the slats easily support the weight of the queen size Tempur Pedic mattress. All in all great purchase. Disappointed in the material that is used to upholster the bed. I choose the black leather looking material but you can see the hair and dust it attracts. It will be something that will be needed to dusted every week. If you have dogs and allow them to sleep in your bed the material used to upholstery really shows the dog hair. The material is a real magnet for hair and dust. I am short 5ft 0in and the height of the bed is perfect for me. I would still buy the bed again if given a choice. This is the second bed I have bought from "Greatime". Satisfied with both. Just wish they would use a better quality material.
