Black Adjustable 3mm Thick Leather Surf Necklace/Choker

The product is exactly as described, just a leather strand wrapped around and tied at the ends to make an adjustable necklace.The problem is the knots are loose and the material wont allow for you to tighten them so the necklace will always come undone and open up.I would maybe suggest trying to hand pull the knots as tight as you possibly can and hope its tight enough and then glue the knot with some super glue or something so that it stays tight, that may fix it.What I personally did was cut the knots off all together and put on two small rubber o-rings that I had on some old jewelry, it now holds in place and I dont have any big knots sticking up in the back.

I was looking for a fairly lightweight, leather cord that I could use during distance running events. It needed to be easy to take on and off and at the same time not chafe the back of my neck with metal etc. I have worn this necklace for over a year now and found that provided you take it off during showering (soaking it causes it to break down much faster) as well as tighten the knots with needle nose pliers every so often, it holds up.Although it may seem pricey for a piece of leather which can easily be created on your own, It was worth it to me to pay an extra 2-3 dollars and source one from a company that makes these as a business. I highly doubt you will find leather in the correct length, follow a youtube tutorial and create something close to the same quality for more than a few bucks less (and how much is your time worth.)NIce necklace overall.

Thankfully, I bought 2 of these necklaces because one of them has already ripped. It might be my fault because I am a tri-athlete and wore it while swimming. I also wore it in the shower several times. I have had this type of necklace in the past and found them to be more durable. They are not expensive and I use them frequently. I will now purchase extra necklaces since I know they wear quickly. I will purchase them from this vendor again and not wear them while I am swimming or in the shower.

Being anal like I am, I like the review every product, and hate being reminded of a product I skipped. So I apologies if this 5 star rating is misleading, hence the title I gave it. I only gave this 5 stars for the seller, and not this product. Unlike some previous reviews, the seller was fast to respond and wind up giving me a refund with no shipping costs. The item itself? Ehh, wasn't that great. Leather was too stiff, even after trying to loosen it up with warm water, soap, all that. The leather actually started to strip away pretty easy after only a few uses. So as far as the necklace goes, ONE STAR, for the seller though, 5 stars and pretty satisfied I didn't lose any money in this bad purchase.

i allowed my son to purchase this choker . do not want to pay return shipping . it stinks horrible . as a horse owner we know how to treat leather --expensive soap , many tries + it is a stinging mess of cheap urine soaked leather . [ urine is an ancient cheap way used for curing leather from ages ago --also a real health risk ] . this should have been noted prior to your listing this item for sale . . you took his gift money . he later ordered a game from you --it is damaged ---he cannot use it not even once . again the shipping thing . i will no longer buy my son a amazon gift card due to the awful products recieved and the shipping !! teens do not know about internet ordering . i thought you were a good place to allow him to order from . cathy kombol

I usually wear puka coco chokers, however, this one really appealed to me. It's thin, composed of leather (A+), sexy and easily adjusted. I purchased one and it fits great. Only problem I had with it. Given I have a thin neck, I usually have to pull it a little tighter to keep it from coming loose and swaying around my neck, so the tighter you pull it, the greater chance of placing a red ring around your neck. I even can wear this along with my puka choker, which is cool. I also have noticed, (don't wear too tight), if you do, you won't be able to swallow or yawn. LOL.

Received this item quickly within a couple days of ordering, looks exactly like the picture. I did however have trouble trying to keep it tight when pulled on the knots, so my friend undid them and put a much better knot to so when i pulled it stayed better in place. Overall i like it a lot for the price of it.
